Beautiful show from Davenport!! Great euph solo, couple missed notes but caught on at the end, wow what an opening hit!! Great WW feature, love me some Firefly, and great work in the brass. Such a pretty ballad, that Flugelhorn soloists has such an incredible tone, and my wow guard, they are massive but so clean!! Great C-net soloist, and a super strong closing statement!! Maybe a little heavy on the brass at times, but they still sounded incredible, and yeah guard was just wow, wonderful job Davenport!!

Panther Creek - great preshow to set the mood.  Soprano.  Yes.  Oh my god woodwinds.  Oh my god brass.  Oh my god everybody.  Yeah Niagara Falls!   Oh good lord the brass choir moment with those visuals has me choking up.  What a ballad.  Oh the closer is just fantastic.  I said it last year and I was wrong, but I’ll say it again this year.  You’ve just witnessed the State-winning performance.  What an incredible performance from 4A State finalist Panther Creek HS!

PANTHER CREEK-AGAIN!! Love that preshow with the heart beats, really sets the stage. Insanely talented Sprano, my goodness, and what a rich opening hit! Ensemble just absolutely killing the technical runs, and great job battery, basses you were heard. That ballad is just so emotional, brass with just some heavenly sounds, wow. Great ending, again Sprano soloist just ripping through those notes with ease. Visually so clean, their marching technique is so good, I think they did it, but it will be really close regardless, fantastic job Panther Creek!!

Lots of great 4A bands in competition today!   Davenport, Canyon, Lumberton, Sulphur Springs, and Farmersville all stood out in my opinion.  All of those shows were done very well.  Definitely thinking a new champ will be awarded tonight, but everyone should be proud.  Davenport and Sulphur Springs likely to do very well in finals.  Big surprise of the day seems to be Lumberton not advancing to finals.  That show was tremendous.  Congrats to all and go Davenport!

China Spring - I am of course biased.  Dang good warmup.  I don’t really know what to say about that.  So I think I won’t say anything at all.  Congratulations on a great season.  An incredible performance from 4A finalist China Spring HS!

Fantastic performance China Spring!! Just such an amazing and fun show. Lovely sounds from the entire group, those soloists play on such a high level, and there's so much smiling going on in the drill. Really love this show so much, and I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon except for up, wow wow wow, amazing job China Spring!!

At the end of the day, China Spring left it all on the field and performed their hearts out. This was amazing and I am so proud.  What honor to play with so many amazing bands from so many amazing schools. Go Cougs!

Sulphur Springs - somebody’s kids are cute?  Okay. Holy snot that’s an opener.  I think there’s some clarity issues in the woodwinds.  My instinct is to say that brass is creating the illusion of double tonguing in some spots with note changes.  Stupid clean sixteenths either way.  Fantastic woodwind ensemble sound.  Love the Mackey.  Awesome closer!  An incredible performance from 4A State finalist Sulphur Springs HS!

Fantastic performance from Sulphur Springs to close out finals!!! Love the muted trumpet preshow going into the super strong opening hit!! Great job WW"s with those licks, and brass with the groovy moment. Super pretty ballad, great sounds from the Mackey closer, and just a super fun performance, great job SS!!

Alrighty, well, that wraps things up here in Texas for the year. Really crazy to think I'm already saying those words, but this season has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we still have Nats the rest of this week!! Congratulations to everyone who took the filed today, 4A has really stepped it up these past few seasons, and today was filled with some amazing performances all around!! Here's my final predictions for tonight (will be very wrong lol):

I’m curious on why Celina keeps getting ranked so high by everyone even they’ve not ran a clean show all day? Based on watching the judges I think you’re pretty close though.

Idk if that's true considering the won prelims, at least it sounds like they did

My brother in Christ I literally just saw the cleanest show in finals and it came from Celina.  The only reason I didn’t put them first is because PC both impressed me and made me cry, which is really hard to do.

trust me I see it too, crooked lines, missteps, but its a matter of if the judges see it, and they dont with celina
