I know it's still fairly early, but I didn't see a topic on this competition yet so I figured I'd make one. For anyone that doesn't know this is a very late season drumline competition, one of the biggest in the state of Texas, and it should have a lot of really good competition this year. I don't see a schedule or school list yet but when that comes out I'll definitely upload that here. Anyways I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts and predictions!!!

Looks like a lot of similar schools from last year are going this year as well.

Coppell, Vista ridge, McNeil, Byron Nelson, I also think Westwood and Hebron are coming back

Most of this based off of band calendars*

Is byron nelson going to be good? I know that Vista, Westwood, and Mcneil all got top 4 in prelims at TMC in percussion.

It's hard to say. The only competition with a percussion score that they've been to has been birdville and they did get 2nd, but the competition definitely wasn't the same as TMC

Historically though, they've always done decent at Lonestar, we'll just have to see 🤷‍♂️

man, I remember when this had several of the top schools all participating in the marching competition. I'm glad this is still happening.

So I was curious why flowermound wasn't coming this year. I can't open the calendar and y'all aren't going to grand nats so do you have the answer? :)

I think vista will take the silver 1, in red one I will take Plano or westwood

I could see that happening. I also could see most any of those groups taking it. Silver 1 is so insanely cracked this year, even with just 6 ensembles. I also think there will be pretty good representation from the Austin area between vista ridge, McNeil, and Westwood

Well today's the day. Good luck and safe travels to all participants, and attendees!! I hope every single student that performs today comes off the field proud of all of the accomplishments they have made this season, and regardless of results, are happy with their performances today. Once again, good luck everybody!
