Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted November 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2024 WOW Marcus!! How they are able to play so many notes with such clarity and precession will always be beyond me, yet they do it so flawlessly!! Those soloists are just top caliber, man that Euph has such a bright sound, so good throughout the whole show. I love the brass writing so much, those trumpets are just ripping through those technical lines like its nothing, and MY GOODNESS percussion, what a feature, wouldn't be surprised if they take the caption again. Almost no visual dirt, and I love what they do with the prisms (minus the glare lol), also did they take them apart at SA, because if so, I didn't notice lol, but great effect, and a fantastic performance ya'll, very much in contention for another medal tomorrow!! utee94, Keenoid and WanderingTraveler 3 Quote

CosmicLimbo Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 I genuinely would love to see Lake Travis again tomorrow bravo! Really liked that ballad and those mellos really showed out in the opener. And that flute solo leading up to the big hit in the closer was such a great moment! Awesome job Lake Travis Tubalord11 and bandsoflove 2 Quote
Tubalord11 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Great showing from Lake Travis!! I really love the theme of this show, and my goodness what a beautiful musical performance!! I really enjoyed watching their show grow over the season, and they really brough it this morning. Again, love how they use Battle of the Ice, and that ballad is just so emotional. Lovely closer, that Flute soloist with some really mature sounds, and that guard adds some nice effect to the story, amazing job today LT, love that show so much!! CosmicLimbo and maxin459 2 Quote

Expand DVILLE holy they have just been on a roll and are just wayyy different then they were last year, i genuinely see them making finals this year just wait Quote

Popular Post Origin Posted November 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2024 Marcus’ show has grown on me sooo much since just a few weeks ago. It’s the total package. They could win this I think. Fantastic run from Keller! Hopefully they make finals so I can hear that Godspeed closer again. MHS Band Dad, Tubalord11, bandsoflove and 1 other 4 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Hello Keller!! Wow what a way they've come since I saw them at Bedford, because that was an insane performance!! Love the preshow drill with the members running into the circles going into that big hit, and great work Flute duet. Some very challenging writing in this music book, my goodness, those WW's killing those licks in the second movement, and that ballad is so effective, super pretty sounds from the Trumpet and T-bone choir. OMG They are playing Goodspeed, one of my favorite pieces for their closer!! Brass just a little lose on those technical runs, but my goodness they sound incredible, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we saw them again, super hard show they are executing so well, amazing job Keller!! Tubalord11 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 What a showing from Klein Oak!! I see why they did so well at Boa this year, because that show is filled with emotional effect. Super strong presence from their ensemble, those Mellos were heard, great work with those runs. RattlerDad Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Something to note - one of field judges iPad was inoperable for Keller (swapped out for a different one only to fail ) and Reagan. Switched to voice memo for both. Bad timing for tech to not work 😕 Tubalord11 and BandAlumMom 2 Quote
Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted November 11, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2024 Ronald Reagan SHOWED OUT!!! Love this show so so much, beautiful opener, love their use or Requiem, lots of power in the brass, and my goodness that high brass feature was SO CLEAN! Love the ballad, such cool effect with the brass in the back corner, and they are doing such a great job with timing, not allowing for the distance to create any musical discrepancies between them and the front ensemble, great job. Super cool closer with the wings on the guard, soloists were super strong and oh, I think they've got a pretty big guard, that's also really good! Such a cool show, one of my favorites of theirs, amazing job Rattler band!! maxin459, RattlerDad, AWF2014 and 1 other 4 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 PROSPER!!! Wow, they are coming in hot! Lovely work from the Flute and C-net going into that Massive opener, my goodness brass!! They are really moving in that second movement, WW's killing those difficult passages. Love me that Barber ballad, a classic but they performed it so so well, great work Oboe! Love that closer so so much, again brass really brining the heat, a couple minor music errors but nothing major, really love the ending with them cutting off and coming back with such a dynamical push to the end of each phrase. Percussion was on fire as well, yeah, I'm definitely not counting them out of finals, awesome job Might Eagle band!! Quote
