Popular Post RattlerDad Posted November 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2024 Watching all of these Senior parents is killing me. Tears galore everywhere you look. I’ve been here once before in 2016, but our baby is a junior and next year is going to be roooooouugh 😭. Great season, Reagan Band 💚🖤💚! RouseCasa, AWF2014, Tubalord11 and 2 others 5 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 My GOODNESS Keller!!! By far one of the hardest musical books out there this season, holy smokes! Great Job Flute Duet in the pre show, great opening hit. Woodwinds, WOODWINDS, so many notes, but they’re so so clean!!! Amazing sounds from that Trombone Choir in that gorgeous ballad. Godspeed was so much tighter today, brass going crazy! Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if they move up today, my favorite of theirs post-Covid as well, Insane music book and incredible execution, amazing job Big Blue🔵!! Quote
Origin Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Finals has been amazing so far (despite NFHS being awful 🙃). I feel like I say it every time, but Cedar Ridge just knows how to get ever single person to PERFORM when they’re on that field. Shout out to that phenomenal guard rifle soloist. Coppell is always the full package. Always interesting musically and visually. They’ve really mastered bringing classical themes in a modern way. Round Rock seems to be carving a bit of a niche for themselves, I’m excited to see where they continue to go. Can’t go wrong with those SCV callbacks. Seven Lakes kinda blew me away. Lost a of simultaneous demand, but it was always full of energy and very clean. Always felt like a matter of time before they reached these heights. Bridgeland is a visual powerhouse. I can’t get over how good that guard is, especially those flags! Can’t wait to see them 3 times this weekend! Love how Reagan uses sound design and how kinda weird their arrangements are. Super demanding show, but they make it look easy. The clarity in Keller’s music performance kinda blew me away today. Still obsessed with the Godspeed closer! WanderingTraveler Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Couldn't catch any of prelims because of work, glad to see block 1 went well. But WOW Vista Ridge. I just love that low brass ensemble at the beginning but such good and powerful sounds coming from the ensemble. Seeing smiles mid performance told me all I need to know about how yall felt about it (then you guys got real serious-faced). Beautiful trumpet soloist into the ballad. Chills, and shed a tear. Good job you all. Samuel Culper 1 Quote
Origin Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I love how unassuming Vista’s show starts lol. Then it just melts your face off for like 7 minutes. tubapop and Samuel Culper 1 1 Quote
Tailgate88 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Can't really say enough good things about that performance. What chops! That music book is just crazy. Definitely one of my favorite performances of the day so far. Tubalord11 and Samuel Culper 2 Quote
Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted November 12, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2024 VISTA FREAKING RIDGE!!!! Unreal musical performance from this group. Amazing job Euphs and horn in that opener, beautiful entrance from the ensemble. Love the fast transition, great dynamic control from the brass. Ballad is just beyond beautiful, and that closer just makes me so so emotional. An amazing story being told by some of the best, musically and visually. And my goodness drum line, so freaking clean, outstanding performance ranger band!!! Samuel Culper, gregorydf01, WanderingTraveler and 2 others 5 Quote

It was clearly a candidate for their run of the year and felt positively redemptive. The kids definitely received the wake-up call at BOA SASR and responded in true Keller fashion. (Never doubted the kids! Now the program must still deal with the other issue identified previously.) RattlerDad 1 Quote
WanderingTraveler Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Vandegrift definitely doesn’t want to lose that medal, phenomenal job! Super difficult demand in that show! Brass technique has improved so much in just a few days! Wow! Full ensemble sound, even with some funky chords, sounded so balanced. Didn’t notice the oboe solo until now, but you are so talented!!! Loved the sax moment. Trying not to repeat myself from past posts, but outstanding job! utee94 and maxin459 2 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Wow Vandy, simply outstanding. Wouldn’t be shocked at all if they win, because to me that looked and sounded like a gold medal, as flawless as it could have been, don’t really have any words, their best run at SA imo, amazing all around, fantastic job Vipers, my goodness!!! MarchingMafia Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Well, this was the first time I was able to see Vandegrift all the way through. Beautiful presentation. Loved the dance team's uniforms. They definitely had a cosmic feel. I didn't love the actual music though. I kept waiting for something resembling a song to be played. There was a lot of beat and plenty of horn toots, but not enough melody tying it all together for me. But to each their own. They are highly regarded for a reason. tubapop 1 Quote
