Gosh so close, don’t understand their percussion scores At all?? 7/14 on preds (I’m sorry Coppell 😭😭), but wow what a night, congratulations to everyone, and thank you all for your hard work and dedication to this activity, it’s been amazing watching y’all’s shows come to life!!!

Hebron was robbed in 2022. Only reason they lost was because a judge didn't like their percussion.

I mean that's what happens they rely off ordinals to score them. Percussion being worth 1/7 of the total score is pretty much the deciding factor on whether or not a group will get screwed or not. Although, the percussion scores looked pretty accurate this year and in 2022 so it's just unfortunate how they score in UIL.

outliers like that should be ignored a judge can have bias and cause a champion to lose that way like in that scenario

Looks like they got 9th in percussion, so maybe not a “judge problem”? Also, isn’t that just the nature of judging? Kind of hard to get 1s across the board. Hebron is just so good overall that they made up for the low percussion ranking. Congrats to all the bands! Just the absolute best in high school marching band.

I mean I really wouldn't go as far as to call any biases as these kids all work hard and the judges are all people I'm familiar with and respect. It's just that the simple truth is that these ordinals reflect how competitive the percussion activity as a whole is in Texas. The top 4 in percussion don't really surprise me and Marcus winning percussion again isn't that surprising.
