Pearlands uniforms are so cool. I love Pines of Rome and haven’t heard it in a marching setting since Cadets. Pines is hard enough for wind bands, so major props to putting this on the field. I wish that ballad impact lasted a but longer, because WHAT A SOUND! Loved this show and theme!

Oh good lord, the Appian Way played the way it should be, with the full force of the Roman Army!

Were we listening to the same show? I feel like I need to get in my car and blast an orchestral version of appian way to get it out of my system. They could have extended the most famous part and turned up the volume to face melt.

Love Pearland this year. Nice to see a Cartwright show without a bunch of giant props. That guard is starting to approach BA and Mason levels of epic flag work.

Oh, oh my beautiful Pearland, thank you so much for bringing that show to the field this season, and WHAT a final performance!!! Just executed oh so spectacularly!! Some of my favorite source music and boy do they play it well. Amazing sounds from this group, those WW's have just been nailing that start all season long, high brass just so gorgeous. Lovely work soloists in the ballad, some lovely sounds from the C-nets, and that ending is to die for, such great effect with the big whatever you'd call them lol. air ballons?? Some super cool visual moments, guard does such a fantastic job at elevating the level of the story and percussion has some super sick moments, love what they do with the symbol line. Truley, Pearland, thank you for brining that magical show to life, and congrats on that fantastic performance!!

Marcus...Holy Heck!!! Still recovering from the amount of notes I just heard, it's insane what they are playing out there. Just such ridiculous musical talent in this group. It's literally just a marching concert band, I don't get how they do it, but it's the same every year for them. Super effective opening, my goodness high brass, double tonging those technical passages like it's normal (it is for them lol), and HOLY CRAP percussion, that feature is so crisp and clean, them and Vista will be real close tonight in that caption me thinks. Amazing work Oboe and Euph in the ballad, such pretty sounds, and what a grand finale, WW's shredding those notes. Just an insane performance, MY GOODNESS, fantastic performance Marcus!!

Marcus may have earned the biggest standing ovation of the afternoon with that performance.

That is exactly what a concert band that marches should sound like. Your brass section is amazing and those euphoniums in the middle section are like velvet. Woodwinds lifting the ballad beautifully and I don't think I need to mention percussion - it's Marcus.

Whoa... The Woodlands. That was more fun than any marching should be allowed to have.

Such skill in bringing out the big sounds then mellowing it out to calm us all down. Your trombone soloist just killed me and that brass feature brought it all back together.

Dang! One of my top 3 for today by far!

I love the Woodlands show, its jazzy and fun, so its hard to not like. The moment when that all come together in the block at the front is my favorite part + such good sounds. Soloists and solo ensembles in the middle half are super impressive. Heck yeah tubas and super clear woodwind technique and sounds! Closing the show on that note must be a blast.
