we went... for 3A.. yes 3A... the sad part is we got 2nd place which friggen pisses me off.

 

i saw yalls band! i thought yall were good but that one gurl fell so ya i felt sorry for her

haha. i was REALLY tired.

i was in the press box for the 1A and 2A schools and some 3As, went back to the band hall and was answering phones in our BDs office..and then just walked around the rest of the day...

i didnt even see ANY 4 or 5A schools....i am VERY mad.

Yeah, we should've gotten third, but apparently Clemens' visual design was better than our music and technique... whatever...

So I saw the judges sheets this morning and here's how the scoring worked.

 

There were three music judges and one visual judge. The one visual judge was weighted the same as the three music judges combined. Steele *4th place overall* had all three of the music judges in their favor, but Clemens *3rd place overall* had the one visual judge in theirs. Because the visual judge had so much power, he singlehandedly overpowered the other three judges and Clemens got 3rd place, even though we had more judges with us ahead of them.

 

I hope it doesn't seem like I'm being a sore loser because we came up behind clemens, it wouldn't have mattered who the band was, I still would have been upset.

ya it really does suck losing to a band you shouldnt have lost to... i bet we had the visual judge on our side and the music judges against us. scoring us real low.
