I thought this would be a fun exercise:

pick a band and name what makes them special. It can be design choices, section sound, section phrasing/technique, visual book. 
 

I’ll start with a throwback.

 

Cedar Park 2016: their edge was the purest chords I’ve ever heard.

Cy-Fair (Any year): Their woodwinds are always among the very best in the band community. In my opinion*

Hebron: Their music, always the most unique yet powerful arrangements.

Vista Ridge: every year since 2018, this band has had just fire musically arrangements, and even with their “off year”, I’ve never been bored with their shows, and omg their brass line has been unreal, percussion is just gas and WW’s are always shredding, just love this program so much
