Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 03:49 PM Posted Sunday at 03:49 PM Wylie had me speechless. The amount of GE those performers produced was unreal. It’s basically them showing off how good they are while telling a story. Talent is insane, I see why their season has been going so good. Loved Yukon!! The sign with the different comps they’ve been/are going to was so cute, and they also performed so well. Again just tons of GE, soloists were so good, beautiful show. Amazing job both! Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 04:04 PM Posted Sunday at 04:04 PM Prosper having one of their best seasons, And I see why!!! I think this style of show fits them better compared to last seasons (which I absolutely loved), and they are performing the heck of it!! Soloist we’re on fire, the mixed weapon work was so cool, just so so clean. Well if you couldn’t tell we were getting close to the top, Union JUST BROUGHT IT!!!! Didn’t see them yesterday but OMG that was insane!! It was funny bc as soon as i was thinking it’s a lot of Saber they brought out flags and rifles lol. Yeah imo the top is looking like it could go many ways, so many top notch runs, but yeah Union just killed it, WOW!! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 04:13 PM Posted Sunday at 04:13 PM Yeah i don’t envy these judges one bit bc Garland just brought another stellar performance!!! Such a delicate show and they are performing so beautifully. The flag were so beautiful against the uniforms and tarp, great color selections, such an insanely talented group, wow! FOSTER!!! I mean wow wow wow, such an intense and fun show but they were just flawless! Tons of GE, loved the choreo in the start and how they stage everyone, just so so clean!! youraveragebandkid 1 Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 04:39 PM Posted Sunday at 04:39 PM Katy and Melissa were just unreal. Don’t have many words other then I was speechless after both. Katy’s performance was just so majestic, so much emotion and power in the performers. Mellisa as well, and that soloists, SO GOOD!! Talent is unreal, they are going to do so well in Dayton!! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 06:14 PM Posted Sunday at 06:14 PM Solid performance from Round Rock to get SO kicked off!! A couple minor drops, but plenty of great moments throughout. The moment of silence was super effective. If you’re telling me that that Choctaw run was 8th yesterday, I’m not ready for what’s next because they killed it!!! So many solo/duet moments they nailed, tons of GE and the choreo was so together, wow!! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 06:29 PM Posted Sunday at 06:29 PM Wonderful performance from Coppell! It’s definitely a slight step down from last season in terms of difficulty, but they are still super talented! Plenty of equipment variety, amazing solos and the flag work at the end was amazing! Great run from Friendswood!! Their soloist were top tier, really loved the theme and they had some great rifle work, amazing job!! Quote
Parkwoodmom Posted Sunday at 06:31 PM Posted Sunday at 06:31 PM Thank you for the commentary! Tubalord11 1 Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 06:50 PM Posted Sunday at 06:50 PM Really loved TC!! First time seeing them this season and was really impressed!! The string props he’ll bring out the theme a ton, amazing rifle work, and I love the color choices, great showing! Marcus was just wonderful. I do see why they aren’t scoring as well, not a drop in talent but I think the design does hold them back a little, think they could handle a little hard of a show they still killed it today!! Love the props, some really nice rifle work and I loved the uniforms, awesome job!! Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 07:07 PM Posted Sunday at 07:07 PM Cy-Fair just blew it out of the water!!! They performed with such expression, and the show gives ton to offer! The mixed rifle-flag work was amazing, plenty of ripple tosses and they used the see through props so well, just so so talented!!! WOW Bowie!!! Such a fast paste show and they are executing so so well! That male soloists are as ridiculous, so much GE, mind was blown!! Quote
Parkwoodmom Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM Posted Sunday at 07:23 PM C’mon Flo! Stop with the glitches. Gah. Of course, commercials are fine. Lol. Quote
Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM Posted Sunday at 07:35 PM This Pearland show has my heart. That soloists, UNREAL!!! They are fully exposing themselves and fully executing!! It’s just such a sweet show that they make so much deeper, tons of emotions from the performers, was having to hold back tears, simply magical Emerson and Little Elm, I have no words. I see why Emerson had to get promoted bc they’re just on a different level. The mouth covering is such a small yet such effective detail. Little Elm, my jaw was on the floor. If they’re going to Dayton, they are going to do SO well, them and Emerson. Just SO clean, so talented, both groups just killed it, speechless jmartin1056 1 Quote
Popular Post Rubisco Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM Lots of strong performances today in Open, but Little Elm was the clear first place for me. Dense and elegant at the same time. Clean hands throughout on some very tricky phrases, with well-blended movement. They really look like a Dayton medalist. Emerson gives Santa Clara Vanguard 2016 vibes -- the Rumble, Unravel, and Rise show, but with an eerier atmosphere. Like that show, they start backstage and slowly make their way forward. The performers embody the creepy cool character of the show exceptionally well. The white flags with the black stripes look clipped when spun on the white part of the floor. Really interesting effect. Pearland gave a great performance. They have such a lovely, well-staged and choreographed production. The opening with the blue flags is immediate goosebumps. I thought they were cleaner than Emerson when viewed upstairs on Flo, but the content may limit them. Emerson's show is just a bit more interesting and creative compared to the vast majority of scholastic guards this year. packwick, Origin, Tubalord11 and 1 other 4 Quote

jmartin1056 Posted Sunday at 08:41 PM Posted Sunday at 08:41 PM The woodlands had a rough run for their standards. Definitely some cleaning still to be done. LeanderMomma 1 Quote
Popular Post Tubalord11 Posted Sunday at 08:42 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 08:42 PM I wish I could go back in time to witness what that again, NO Words anyways, both groups were amazing! I feel like Flomo should be in the 80s, don’t see why they aren’t, loved that show and they’re really good. TW’s just showed the audience they’re gonna go win the gold for Tx, and I think they will. If you think they’re good online, god in person was just something else LeanderMomma, Parkwoodmom, jmartin1056 and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post packwick Posted Sunday at 08:53 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 08:53 PM another fabulous run from twhs!! only saw two drops out of hundreds of tosses. cross port on the bench near the end should should probably be changed. performer doesn't seem to be consistent on it. don't know what happened w/ the toss over the bench. must have nicked the bench or something. rotation was completely off. but overall outstanding. should get that 91+. Popular Post Origin Posted Sunday at 08:55 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 08:55 PM Thought TWHS was fantastic as always. I’ve seen like 5 different runs from them this season, and they are just so consistent! That unison 10 saber toss towards the end that they always nail just shows that they’re on a different level. The whole SO group was so so so impressive. Little Elm definitely locked in the win here, everything about that show is perfectly thought out and executed. Emerson doesn’t have the most difficult content but the commitment to character and design choices are incredibly effective. How do they get the flags to unfurl perfectly on those tosses like that?! I’m glad so many of Texas’ best guards are going to Dayton this year! Tubalord11, Parkwoodmom and Rubisco 3 Quote

packwick Posted Sunday at 09:47 PM Posted Sunday at 09:47 PM think there may be a transcription error in woodlands world's DA score. Kelsey w/ a 98 in performance. prob should be 89?? dunno. would bring the score down to a 91-something probably. fabulous scores from the IA judges across the board. again, just some upstairs design issues. still did at/near the top of the field upstairs however. Expand I was thinking the same thing. There’s a 7 point penalty in the rule books for “prohibited equipment”, so maybe they flagged the bananas used? I just don’t understand where the other 3 points came from, or why they didn’t get that same penalty in prelims. Quote
