gavinrh Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 So i think i've slowly developed it on accident... any ideas on how to get rid of it? Quote
Gltokensp06 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Dont worry about it. We all have it. It may be caused due to something you ate or something...psychological..maybe. Who knows, at our age insomnia is not really a problem. But if you are seriously worried about it, I guess go to your doctor or something. But i'm sure its nothing serious. Quote
aoyana Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I had that issue my sophmore year. Try covering things that remind you of time or have lights in your room (looking at clocks causes paranoia or something and lights are distracting- I was told to cover my digital clock) and avoid any type of food that would wake you up (ex. caffiene) before you go to sleep. Try to get 8-9 hours of sleep. All that jazz. Quote
Claritone Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Sometimes I find it impossible to fall asleep if my clock is on... Quote
Lustra.exe Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 i can't sleep if my door is open. or if my closet door is open. or if there is any light whatsoever. Quote
MartinHorn Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 When I was smaller I had insomnia, but it went away right after my parents got divorced. Weird? You'd think a traumatic event would cause insomnia not cure it. Quote
Fortisimo Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Stress is my problem, quite often. But, ya love marching season; it gets you nice and worn out, so such things aren't near as big of problems. Quote
thesnareguy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Exercise. If your tired, you'll fall asleep like in 5 minutes... Quote
TRtrumpet Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 After I exercise I feel tired, but like energetic... and I want to do stuff. It's hard to explain lol but I can't just sleep after it. Quote
BlinK Day 41 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I bet if you hold your breath for long enough you'll go to sleep . . . or faint i guess . . . but um thats sort of like sleeping huh Quote

I am totally up there with you. I absolutely can't stand repetitive noises either. But any light bothers me. You could get a phase mask. Quote

PitStar Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Watch the news. No really though, it's so boring and depressing, puts me to sleep no matter what. If that doesn't help spanish soaps I think. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Haha, the news thing would probably work for me. Quote
