G'townPIT Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 We're going. Lonestar is actually one of the biggest drumline competitions in the country, they had close to 50 lines go last year. Quote
chickora Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Most def. Round Rock is going. Our drumline just keeps getting better. Quote

chickora Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 I want to actually attend this contest since its so close to my birthday. I'm hoping i can hitch a ride with someone. That'd be so baller. Quote
quiksilver2107 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 creekviews going for the second time in like 6 years Quote
travis_malone Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 word is, martin is competing in the marching division this year. can someone confirm this? Quote
G'townPIT Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Yeah, Martin has a marching show. They're playing it at PASIC this Friday too. Quote
MartinHorn Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 G'townPit, do you know if Martin is also going to compete in the standstill division? Quote
MRS. IaN KiNSLeR Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 dang, i want to go. just to see the marcus do exhibition... but i have a football game, sadly it's cool 'cus every time i've went to lonestar, i'd just go to see marcus. then i'd end up being really impressed with the competing d-lines. good luck to all! Quote
G'townPIT Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 I'm pretty sure you can only compete in one type of competition. So I'd have to say they're only doing the moving drumline show. Do any of you Martin kids know Ethie? He plays bass drum, he moved to Dallas last year from Georgetown. Yeah the Marcus show is always insane... I remember one year when the pit and battery members traded instruments for part of the show! It's a shame that you won't be able see it this year! Quote
marcomac29 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 The Mansfield Drumline is going to Lonestar... I know for a fact. Quote
MartinHorn Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 We've won the standstill for the past two years I believe, but I wonder how our drumline will do in marching. Quote
goobus Posted November 9, 2006 Author Posted November 9, 2006 iwish martin luck but im not gonna lie, you're givin hebron an excellent chance here haha i play baritone but am part of a sextet in the ballad so i will be going with the drumline to this contest Quote

Fortisimo Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Unfortunately, word on the street is, we will not be participating in Lonestar at this point due to eligibility issues that have sprung up this past Friday. More info to come, I would imagine. Quote
