bored2damax Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I do agree with salesmonkey about what he said because our trumpet section this year really blows(no pun intended). It is made out of mostly freshmens and sophmores. Quote

HAHAHA, I wish it were that easy. My god, our trumpets get in trouble a lot.. However, I would like the trombones dissapear.. Cause sadly...none of us speaks trombonese. Quote

Our band director always goes off on some rant and like the trombones don't pay attention.. So then the director is all like sorry.. I didn't speak trombonese..and then says some random stuff..and then they get it. quite humorous Quote
bored2damax Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I think its a trombone thing. They seem to live in their own world. Quote
Salesmonkey Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 We(the trombone section at Leander) are argueably one of the best sections in the band when we want to be and have been stepping it up this year to actually get noticed. That said anyone who has witnessed trombone potluck and the brew, or heard the pirate song can verify that in no way our we innocent little angels either... I quote our director "Trombones, you guys are both the best and the worst section this year" Quote
VRHSRangerTBone Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 We have Pirate Song problems with our tuba section...not the trombones, lol. Quote
Salesmonkey Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 We got caught singing the unedited version one night on a bus ride home...that wasnt fun. We weren't aloud to sing it again till they forgot...which didnt really take too long. Quote
actualgirltrombone Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Hahaha... our tuba section got called oompa loompas. Then the section leader figured out how to play the oompa loompa song... for a while they were all doing it. It was hilarious. Chickora... what do you mean "I'm finding this board so much nicer than the previous one at Cedar Park."? I'm confused... Edit: also, thank you so much for the feedback! I just really wanted to hear somebody outside the band program thought. Quote
Salesmonkey Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 We did that...as well as play the Imperial March when the director walked in...she didn't like that very much...as well as innumerable antics on long bus rides which include bus surfing, putting makeup on sleeping guys, waking the entire bus up at 3 in the morning by singing our version of "In the jungle", watching "The Patriot" getting yelled at and told to turn it off halfway through, and then turning it back when the director fell asleep. And wow..Im really off topic....maybe start a "Bus Ride Antics" thread somewhere... Quote

bored2damax Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Our tubas found out how to play "I know you see it" and "Chang Hang Low". So those are what they most of the time. Quote
