Skippy Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 This is a video my dad shot, and uploaded to youtube. It's the opener and almost all of the ballad. It's pretty good quality, just skips from time to time. I think he actually filmed the whole thing and just botched the upload process or something, so maybe he'll reup it with the whole show. I'll let you know. But for now, enjoy! edit: Part 2! BTW, have a spare pair of pants handy for James's french horn solo. It's spot on. Quote
Valsair Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 not too shabby at all. i thought the horn soloist was pretty good. my favorite part was that guy's crowd response. i'm sure it made him happy. Quote
manuel_pablo Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I clicked "More from this user" and found the part 2 video... Quote
actualgirltrombone Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 It looks and sounds really good! I don't like the arrangement of Symphony 10 Mvmt 2 AT ALL. GAH. GAH GAH GAH. Heh, CP is playing that this year as well... so yeah. *twitches* It sounds great, its just not what I'm used to. Quote

Connally played Fire of Eternal Glory about 5 years ago [Phantom 13yrs] and I think it sounds much better without battery or a back beat. I think it takes away from the winds because that could be soooo beautiful. And this is coming from a percussionist. I like my far share of rams, but not in Fire of Eternal Glory. I think i'll have to hear it again to like it... or understand it. but im right with ya on the sounds odd part. Quote
