Tnilli Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 Your correct in saying they did their show very well...but its too easy. Musically it might be one of the, if not the, most demanding. Visually though, its pretty easy. :-/ Quote
themainclarinet Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I thought they had one of the better shows when they came to San Antonio for was it Southwestern? Well...we all know how messed up Judges can be! Quote
Skippy Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 The judges obviously aren't messed up, because SCV has consistantly been doing bad every single competition. Entertaining does not always equal high scoring. If that were true, Velvet Knights would have won in 1992. Quote

But yes, he was there at San Antonio with the drumline, but he was just checkin' them out, he's not on staff. Quote

They pulled out the suprise bottle dance ending at finals, and the crowd was in such an uproar, that the hornline on the front sideline (playing extremely loud) couldn't hear each other and completly fell apart, half the corps ending a quarter note before the other half. It was kind of a let down to watch, but not really, because it was still amazing. In person it must have been friggin' awesome. Quote
mbui Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Yeah, they also interviewed Ralph right after the afternoon competition at DCI San Antonio. He's taking the year off from drum corps to focus more on composing. Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 That's awesome! A guy that's been in DCI for most of his freaking life prbably needs a little break. I mean, he just might be one of the oldest band nerds alive! Quote
