bossman Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I hate when ppl say they don't care becuz they wanna act like a badazz/rebel. Thats one of my biggest pet peeves Quote
Raider_Band08 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 A guy that plays Frensh Horn. He plays fine but his marching is terrrrrrrible. Quote
Drummer Chick Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 In the pit, we have several, most people see the pit as the Drumline wannabees, but really most of us enjoy pit, it's the 5-6 that don't who drag us down. We have one guy in particular, he's a junior, but no one takes him seriously, he intentionally makes other people mad or screws them up, he's spent the last 3 years as a shadow to the pit, he doesn't even play the triangle or tambourine or anything, he just sits there and bugs people. There's several others who just sit and do homework, which is unfortunately what the rest of the band sees, so most of the rest of the band s the pit, even though we actually do more than they do a lot of the time. Serardian Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 That reminds me of the time our band director caught people in the pit playing cards. He was beyond furious. It was seriously the scariest moment of my band life. Needless to say we ALL got yelled at, and we ALL had to run, except the kids playing cards. Quote
Drummer Chick Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Yeah, its the people like that that give us a bad rep Quote
bossman Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 You guys have pit alternates that proof that the size of ur band is SICK!!! Hats off to The ALLEN Population Quote
MartinHorn Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 As our band director says, we're only as good as our weakest marcher. Quote
Drummer Chick Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Our band isn't sick. And the Pit Shadows are shadows for a very good reason, if they could actually play worth anything, we'd double parts or something so they'd have a part. Actually, the band as a whole never has more than 15 shadows at one time, and maybe not even that many. Quote
SpeshulEddie Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 there's a few people like that in my section some just mess around almost every practice then for some reason try to take leadership towards the end of the season that pisses me off :| then there's this one guy who really doesn't care about the band at all in the trumpets. it's horrible. i wish he would quit oh so horribly Quote
