Opener: Morning Star by Adrian Hernandez (Brass Fanfare)

Ballad: October by Eric Whitacre arranged by Brian Beck

Ensemble and Drum Features: Hunting Wabbits by Gordon Goodwin of the Big Phat Band arranged by Brian Beck

Closer: I can't remember the name, but it had something to do with an Evening Star arranged by Brian Beck (I'm not sure of the composer)

 

2nd Place - PESH Invitational (4 out of 5 first place votes in the Music and Marching categories)

Westfield 2001

Pastiche: Music from Persichetti's Symphony for Band

Hemispheres was Westfield's 2000 show, not 2002.

 

One of the things that I really like about that show (other than what is probably the most awesome drill design for a HS ever) is the constant insertion of other well-known themes into Short Ride, sometimes with one section playing one theme while another section plays a different theme.

 

The ones that stick out in my head the most are the trombones playing Ode to Joy and then the battery playing Mars.
