Clarinot Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Tonight we are introducing TxBLive, a new feature to send you the results of contests instantly. http://www.txbands.com/txblive TxBLive! uses text messages to instantly relay you the placements from prelims and finals. We will have staff members at select contests to upload the results so they can be sent to you. We will be piloting this on the BOA Super Regional on November 4th. Hopefully we can get all the kinks worked out for UIL 5A State the following Monday. And of course, we will have Grand Nats. Using text messages eliminates the extreme lag from people refreshing forums (go to the BOA forums on GN night) waiting for posts to be updated. We don't charge to use TxBLive!, however, normal text messaging charges do apply. It's free to subscribe. You can also un-subscribe as you wish on the same page. Enjoy! Quote

It will all be in one text message, but may overflow to a second one (160 character limit). There will be one alert sent for finalist bands, and one for finals results. Quote
