Although there are no true powerhouses, it is the only district in the state in which every team has a winning record thus far this season. The 8 teams have a combined 5 losses, by an average of 4.7 points. If that's not the makings of a tough district, I don't know what is. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 okay, but all the teams that district 14-5a play have losing records, and there has only been 3 wins against a teams with winning records... did you see this its the dancing...funny Quote
Salesmonkey Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Leander pulled off a last minute win(literally) against Pflugerville tonight. Final score Leander 37, Pflugerville 36. They missed the tieing extra point attempt with 45 seconds left in the game, giving us the win. Quote
borchnork Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 CHS is now 0-4 after lossing to Lake Dallas 19-38??? I guess... Quote

chickora Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 We beat Westwood. Our band gave our worse performance.... Westwood people can tell you want happened. I thought it was really respectful of them to stay until we finally perfected it. So yeah, during the last five sets of the second movement, the brass was a whole beat behind. It was pathetic, so Mr. Stein made us rehearse the last movement immediately after the game until those sets were perfect. Haha, that teaches brass. Quote

Our 3rd mvmt. goes 152, but the week before we had taken it at like... 144, so some kids in the band were marching/playing at 152 while others were at 144. Quote

You guys just started going after the game and we were like "whoa, what are they doing? wait... are they REHEARSING???" haha. Y'all seemed pretty good from our perspective though. And yeah, Westwood (2-2) is looking like it may end up the last place team in district this year, since the rest of the district just seems too strong. Even Stony Point, traditionally the last place team in the district, has been extremely impressive this year. Hopefully our offense will start executing so we can get back into the district race!!! Fata1 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 FW Southwest is 4-0 now. We beat O.D. Wyatt 43-21. Quote
MaverickBand15 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 haha....our football team sucks.....We always win our non-district games and lose our districts. So we are 3-1 right now. and 0-1 in district. Quote

Yea, but don't feel too bad. UT last to KSU for the second year in a row last night... Worst performance I've seen in a looong time, Colt threw 4 interceptions, and they allowed touchdowns on a kickoff and punt return. Quote
borchnork Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 next game is on Thursday against Mckinney Boyd. I'd say since we beat them last year, I'm expecting to beat them again, but I said that about Sachse and we ended up losing. Quote
Fata1 Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 We're 5-0 right now. We beat Carter Riverside 65 to 0. It's kind of sad that it'll all come to an end in our first game of playoffs. Quote

ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Pasadena Memorial High School 2-0 (4-0-1) we beat the Dobie Longhorns, 44-0, finally breaking the 41 pt curse (we scored 41 pts in 3 games straight, since the first game was called for rain at 7-7) Quote
ClaireAnnette07 Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Um yeah..my high school's football team lost tonight. I have no idea what their record is though because I'm paying more attention to the TEXAS LONGHORN FOOTBALL TEAM By the way......IT'S 12:12, AND OU STILL SUCKS! If you dont go to UT, sorry if you think I'm totally nuts. If you do, well...haha Quote
Salesmonkey Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Leander 4-1 after beating Westwood 20-7 Quote
dtxtrmpt Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Dickinson Gators AAAA 6-0!!! 2005 they were 0-10. last year they were 4-6 now they are 6-0. district games, 2-0. number 18 in the state before this weeks game. we beat the #11 team in the state last night, friendswood. GO GATORS!!! Quote
PrideOfPearland Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 ha and it is 1:29 AM and texas state still sadly sucks. pearland on the other hand- kickin' some old fashioned booty. Quote
ClaireAnnette07 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 I'm very sad. Not only did my high school lose homecoming (which is tradition since we won last year) but UT lost against OU by a touchdown. I screamed into my pillow--yeah, I decided to go home to Houston instead of Dallas to the Cotton Bowl-- when OU intercepted the ball during the 4th quarter. Mack Brown's call to put Colt McCoy in there a week after he had a concussion was horrible. Ugh. Quote
smoke_dawg_08 Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 all you people think your districts are hard, come to 26-5A, every sports reporter and sports site will definitely agree, that it is THE craziest, considering we have 6 different schools in our district at this point that can make the playoffs and have. Including us(Judson), there is Reagan(also known for their band), Churchill(known for their band as well), MacArthur, Smithson Valley, and Madison. Roosevelt and Lee have had their time before, but not doing so well these past couple of years, and Wagner is an up-and-coming program, both band and football team. That's our entire district who completely wreck upon other teams they play, but when we get into our own district, there are gruesome battles for spots into the play-offs. Quote
thePIXELelement Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Hooray, the 2-3 Timberview Wolves...I swear if the spent less time during practices saying "Whoo-rah" and more time actually practicing we would have a team worth talking about...and then they blame us for not playing good music...pshaw....
