Fata1 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 We won our game against Dunbar High School. It was something like 17 to 0. I think that makes us 8-0 now. Quote
Salesmonkey Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Blah. We don't deserve to go to playoffs they way we are playing. Lost to G-Town 28-21 making us 3-2 in district and 5-3 overall. Quote
borchnork Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 more reasons I want to go to your school (despite this being your first winning season). we lost again. now 1-7 after losing to Little Elm 33-22 (1-4 in district I think?) =[ Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Yeah we finally lost on Thursday night. It took the 8th ranked in state to beat us, lol. So now we're 7-1, 4-1 in district. Quote
thePIXELelement Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 5-3 beat FW Paschal last night 63-7, we face the Burleson Elks next and then if we win that, the last game of the season should determine who is going to be 2nd in our district.... Quote
crazyjakeup Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 well if anyone reads my blogs on myspace (which 200 a week do) you can see that 10-5a has been a circus... and rowlett may make the playoffs... interesting Quote
borchnork Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 winning two games is better than winning only 1. =[ Quote
SerialSleeper90 Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Last friday's game against Little Elm was so... darn... long. It was cold, too. Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Pasadena Memorial is undefeated, 7-0. the Friday before SHSU was our Homecoming game where we beat the Pasadena HS Eagles, 44-0. This Thursday, we play against North Shore, after which only one school will emerge still undefeated. also, we rose in the power rankings, up to #9 in the Houston Area. We are the Game of the Week on Chron.com, to be called on 790AM radio. we're really excited about this season, with the band's success and now the football as well. Quote
Drippn_Bandnerd Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Our football team is rather....Bad. We have won only 3 games so ffar , and seem to have a record streak for loosing. everyone seems to leave after halftime. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Us versus our rivals Friday night. Winner goes to playoffs! This is the best we've done in a pretty long time. Quote
Fata1 Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Bleh. Thursday games. We won against Trimble Tech tonight. That makes us 9-0 now. We have our district championship next week, I think. Then we'll most likely go to playoffs and lose our first game making our final season 10-1. Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 dang. 7-1 lost to North Shore 52-31. it was quite win-able, but we just turned over the ball too many times. our QB lost a fumble on the first play of the game. at the half, we were trailing by a TD (would have been leading by a TD if the fumble did not occur). later, we pulled within 4, but the D was sluggish, and let NS run all over them. then, Dylan (QB) threw an INT that was taken to the house. to make it 52-31. the NS starters played the entire game, the first time that's happened this season....haha the NS players were HUGE. standing up next to our guys, they must have been an average 6 inches taller. still, it was a really good game. the biggest crowd in Memorial Stadium history. it was our senior night too, last home game of the season. tears were shed. Quote
Tx_Band_Marcher08 Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Dickinson beat La Marque's football team last night 43-22 with the first two touch downs in the first 3 or 4 minutes of the game. This was the first time La Marque has been beaten that badly since 1989. Dickinson is now 8-1 and is going to playoffs. Quote
chickora Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 we lost to cp. and yeah, we almost won, but we didn't make the touch down. uuugh, oh well, i'm just glad I don't have to go to a play offs game anymore. however, its sad because i marched my last show on friday. but we changed the visuals a bit.. I'm sure Cedar Park kids noticed. LOL They couldn't stop laughing. I bet the directors are pissed. Quote
Band Of Champions Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 I knew we just had a lucky opener to the season. 7-2, this is where we begin our downward slope lol. Quote
thePIXELelement Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 6-3 en route to our best season ever... Playoff bound...Last game against Mansfield for second place in district 4-5A Quote

Salesmonkey Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 We won. . I dont really want to go the playoffs this year because we dont have a shot at making it very far and I enjoy having my Saturdays free. I was hoping we would lose last week so we wouldnt make it but alas, when I dont want us to win, we do. Next week is against our rivals, CP, and no matter how much I don't want to make playoffs, under no circumstance can I ever bring myself to root for them to beat us. >.< Quote
drippin_tuba2010 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 dripping springs will finish 2-8. oh yeah Quote
crazyjakeup Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 we are more than likely facing allen in the first round of the play offs... unless rockwall loses and/or plano east wins... Quote
ConfusedTechie Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Ha our team hasn't won against any of the teams in distric this year. They've only been able to beat a few 3A teams and by a small margin. We are currently tied for LAST in distric with a record of 0-8 Quote
Fata1 Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 We won our closest game of the year, the district championship against O.D. Wyatt 31 to 28. They were ahead for most of the fourth quarter. We scored a touchdown and brought the game to 31 to 28. At the very end, they had three chances to throw a touchdown pass and the failed at each of them. It was a scary game. Loser had to face Stephenville and that would just suck. Anyway, we're 10-0 now. We face Aledo next week in the first round of playoffs. I'd much rather face Aledo than Stephenville but we'll still lose. Quote
urkadrums Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Our team, Georgetown, was actually okay this year. We've sucked for the last 6 years, and haven't made playoffs in like 8 years or something like that. But this year, we actually had a chance. We beat cp, which was a great victory that helped us a lot, but didn't help us in the end. Last night we played against McNeil, our chance to make playoffs, but there were also other things that had to happen. I'm not sure what they were, but Pflugerville had to beat RR i know, and we had to win our game. Well we won 21-16, but Pflugerville threw the game. Some of our own football players wanted to throw the game themselves because they wanted to start off season early. So no playoffs, and man we were going to miss school on Friday lol. We also had our last home game at Burkelbach stadium, Eagle Field, whatever you call our stadium. It's been there for 50 years, my goodness (and we lost our last game there ever, to Stony Point. That's depressing lol). They have been building our new stadium all year and it'll be ready for soccer season this year. But no more of that tiny stadium. I'm glad I get to play at the new stadium next year; the seniors were disappointed :[. Quote
