Yes it is. I believe that they were 2nd in Prelims but they really turned it on in Finals. There was no question that they won this competition.

wow great job to Canton! There was some crazy judging going on in prelims. 3 in a row? That's just awesome. Congrats. Man oh man... 5A tomorrow... it's going to get ugly.

OMG!! Crystal City came from my region!! i was so cheering them on!!! im so happy for them!! its crazy... we came out of region kinda tied, but we screwed up so much at area that i guess they left us behind lol it does actually really suck i mean i friggen wish we did good that day! i swear if we would have we could have scored as good as Medina valley

 

oh btw anyone see that one visual they do to a drum thing.

 

and no offense but i dont think pittsburg should have been top 3. i mean yes good and VERY clean but everything was repetitive the drill didnt look to hard, tho it was very visual

What happened to Argyle? They kind of sliped from their placement in prelims! Not that Canton wasn't deserving, I wasn't there, I was just surprised to see them drop 4 places! No matter though, this had to be one of the most memorable SMC's in Texas history. Congrats to everyone! It was also great to see a military band do so well! That's just so cool, gah I wish UIL made DVD's like BOA because I'd totally buy this years'!

Military is much much harder than it looks. There are so many tiny details that go into a military show that all have to be perfectly done by everybody otherwise it looks terrible.

They do...but they aren't nearly as good.

I know they make them, but I've never seen them distributed widely for the masses. But I could be wrong! Please point me to where I could buy a dvd.

There is a website somewhere, I just don't remember where to find it. I'm pretty sure Vestige Video makes the DVD's, unless things have changed in the past year.
