I wanna know if any of u could design a show what would it be called; what would what it be musically.Give alot of details or just give the general concept, but details are always nice to hear "Crunk Juice: The Music of Little John" Quote

acsc1312 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I was thinking of a soundtrack show. Selections include: Batman begins Ressurection from Passion of the Christ Theme from Schindler's List Central Park from King Kong not too sure about schindler's list. I dont think that would blend much Quote
Tnilli Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 My show would be simple. A sheet would cover the field like a bubble from goal line to goal line...and lights would be put all inside of it so people are marching but all you can see are their shadows. All the time playing music from: Signs, American Psycho, Jaws, and Scream Yea i know what your reaction was: 1) WTF!? 2) God what an idiot... 3) HOLY heck YES! and i am an idiot Quote
n3rdu5 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 haha, the closer should be something from Bubble Boy. Quote

So as not to spoil the "surprise..." hahaha, i could probably find one. Such a beautiful song, genius too. Would that be the ballad? Quote
beehorn Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 The Music of Radiohead featuring Everything In Its Right Place, National Anthem, Pyrimid Song and Paranoid Android. - i think some college band did a Radiohead show, but to see a top Corp do this could be awesome. Quote
barisaxy08 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I will be writing drill for a show that's entitled "Hoes in Eb" I was thinking about having a trumpet soloist standing in the middle of the field dressed in a pimp suit with all the colorguard (having flags made out of 100 dollar bills) grabbin all on him while he's playing "Big Pimpin"...then there would be some cherography where there would be two marchers standing side by side and one would be slapping the other one and they would call to the ground then they all say "where's my money, ho?" yeah...that's UIL state material right there... I'd like to do a Mafia themed show off of that. You know, perform the Godfather on the hundred-yard stage. Badabing! If you liked The Godfather: Part Blue, you should check out the UTA band performing "A Show You Can't Refuse" Quote

radioactive Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 in distances (latitude/longitude) or in math ' is a minute and " is a second. I'm pretty sure it is actually written 4'33" Quote

takigan Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Tetris..... Obviously, the music would include the various themes from the videogame 'Tetris', but the visual kicker would have the colorguard (And probably some alternates/shadows/stand-ins) each equipped with cardboard tetrahead 'piece' and while holding the 'piece' above their heads, start assembling a Tetris game midfield as the band plays, moving the colorguard with the tetraheads down one at a time starting backfield and moving frontfield.....and when 4 solid lines form, have those four lines of colorguard fall down with the "TETRIS!" sound byte played throughout the Flutes or something. Quote
tubamaxCHS Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 The Music of Stravinsky would be awesome. Maybe open up with The Sacrifice from The Rite of Spring, and close with a selection from The Firebird. No idea what youd put in the middle, though. Quote
n3rdu5 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Doing a Tetris-themed show would allow some pretty awesome drill, methinks. Quote

A school actually did that this year I believe, they had Niagara Falls as their closer. Quote
Hollister[co]Chic Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 that mulan show would be awesome...i love that movie and i think at least one person from everyband has thought of a Tetris show..my friend did.. but as for my show...it would be uber theatrical..really eerie (sp)..and just tell a story...each movement would be a chapter..as for all the details i've not yet thought of that! lol...just have the outline Quote
