dtexas4444 Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I noticed that LD Bell started off the marching season with 3 drum majors. Now, there are only two of them. What happened to the third one? Quote
Xenon Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Maybe he is going to be the last one Remaining at GN Finals. Quote

the_DRUM_MAJOR Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 lol alright so what really happened? Quote
imabigbandnerd Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 ok, here is the scoop. A drum major for l.d.bell was disqualified. As far as I have been led to believe, there was a party where a lot of people were drinking (underage drinking). Whether or not he was drinking is not the issue. Guilt by association is the way it was explained to me. The band directors and school had no choice but to remove him from the band. Other students were involved and also removed. Underage drinking is illegal and not tolerated by L.D. Bell band or the school district. I personally blame the parents that allowed drinking by minors in their home. It is a shame that a lot of people suffered from the actions of one or two. What you do in life does have its consequence. Please remember this. There are a lot of dedicated students at l.d. bell. The actions of one does not reflect on the whole. Quote
MmCheezItsYay Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 dang... well at least they took some action Quote
whitewing09 Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 thats what i hate about this town. you could be caught for something but if you know the right people you dont get charged with crud. this gurl was drunk after a party and she was driving home, well she flipped her suv and she had 3 other people with her. She coulda killed everyone in there and she didnt even get a ticket. driving drunk and coulda killed everyone in there and she didnt get crud. Quote

This is something we all see in Small Town, Tx, America! Yes it sucks, but it ain't changing anytime soon, which is rather unfortunate at times... That girl who flipped her SUV with 3 people in it while also being drunk is extremely lucky they were ok. And if she didn't get a ticket in your case, then your law enforcement has serious issues, that offense wouldn't go unpunished here. Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 If you ever notice, usually only the drunks survive accidents like that. It's the sober ones that get it worse. Quote
MmCheezItsYay Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 yeah, thats the sad part... and people do it thinking nothing will ever happen to them Quote
bossman Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 so they lost a key player in their band prgram and still had a ver, very successful year Quote
Arabella Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Man, my school probably wouldn't even care. I guess that's what they expect for inner-city schools? Quote
