Indeed, it does. And, I mean, if you're standing there at parade rest and your hands are crossed in front of your crotch, you know, you think you can get away with it... Until you remember there's a jumbo-tron... and a really huge screen.

We've had people pass out, and it wouldn't surprise me if most bands do.

Congrats to broken arrow.... but, i still think the woodlands should have won. Call me bias because i use to go there, but still, they deserved better than 4th. They were hurt by going first.

I hate to be the cynic, but I COMPLETELY disagree with these placements.

 

STILL, congratulations to every band, regardless of placement. That was an amazing finals -- had it not been, I would be very upset that I wasted a Saturday night. :-)

Agreed! I think the Avon change was much more drastic than the Woodlands. But hey! Both bands made it to finals, and we all still know they're amazing...heck, any of these bands are amazing. Ah, I only wish I could've gone...

 

but as we all know, none of us ever can all agree on placements, haha. oh the joys of marching band.

 

I only wish the eagle would've come back to Texas!

No, that just show that going first or "early" in a BOA contest generaly lowers your score from prelims or semi-finals to finals.

scores are from BOA Forums from someone who is there live

The same thing happened to the woodlands 2 years ago. 2004 they went from 4th to 7th. this year, 1st to 4th. Both years they droped 3 places. O well, At least the woodlands can walk away saying the were the Class Champs.

They don't announce scores at GN competitions...
