rsb3 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I just went to Skramp's and there is a notice which reads: "Per a mutual agreement, Skramps will no longer be operating. Thank you for your patronage through the years and for making this site what it was. Please continue to support the activity. -Skramp" This is just on the heels of GN! Why did you have to go! This website arguably had the largest repository of high school marching band videos and MP3's. This really stinks... Quote
AndrewPCarr Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 wow...that's really, really tragic... Quote
the_DRUM_MAJOR Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 you should contact him and try to get his collection of mp3s /vids of texas bands and upload them on here lol Quote

MartinHorn Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist, but I'm guessing some business didn't like that you could get watch and listen to all this stuff for free and shut them down. Quote

And I agree with you to a large extent! I remember when I first came upon Skramp's Place, the first thing I thought was "is this even LEGAL!? Who cares, this is awesome!" Oh well... someone else is just going to have to get these movies online somewhere else... let's hope Skramp put these on Google Video. Quote

Dynasty Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 No no no, our media section is ok. We're actually just upgrading it. We've been using the same framework for media since the website was programmed in February of 2005. It will be back, with a better interface, search, and uploader! Its all just a coincidence. Quote
n3rdu5 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Hahaha, phew! I was just about to post, asking if Skramps going down had anything to do with the TxB media going down. Okay. Good to know. Quote
NSUMusician Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Since Skramps gone, anyone have any other sites comparable? Quote
