Mculbert07 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 My dad sat next to a guy who had done the videos for several years, and production costs for them are huge. So, it's only fair that they try to make back the money that they're spending. Quote
NSUMusician Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Does anyone know how to get in touch with Skramp? Quote
mbui Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 QUOTE (MartinHorn @ Nov 12 2006, 02:40 AM) I guess BOA doesn't like people viewing bands performing at their competitions for free. It's not really that. It all boils down to copyrights. It's a HUGE issue in the marching arts (BOA, DCI, WGI, UIL and etc...) these days. Quote
BbTuba Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Alternative FOUND: http://www.marchingwiki.com It's all streaming content (meaning you can't download it) but you can VIEW them, which is all that really matters. I'm guessing they are doing this so they don't get in trouble for "distributing" it like skramps. Anyways, its really new so there isn't a ton of stuff yet, but if you guys all upload then it can turn into something great. As far as I know they will not take copyrighted stuff, but who knows. Serardian Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 From the Terms Of Use: IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USER TO REFRAIN FROM SUBMITTING ANY MATERIAL THAT IS COPYRIGHTED OR OTHERWISE PROTECTED BY PRIVACY RIGHTS. What is that supposed to mean? I see tons of BOA videos up there. Quote
BbTuba Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 There's only a few. Apparently someone submitted them falsely. I'm assuming they'll get removed. Edit: I believe that those are linked from youtube/google video...hmmm. Complicated. Quote
