Amusicman Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Ok so I am surprised that no one has brought this up yet but I am really wondering what bell Quote
aaron067 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Some friendly Bell parents at State Finals explained the program to some of our parents: The Ascension The Remaining The Arrival The surprise GN Finals ending seems to fit the theme much better once you consider the finale to the series. I personally can't wait to see how it turns out! Quote
aggietrumpet327 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Ascension: Light of Gold - 3rd place The Remaining - 2nd place The Arrival - ??? It would certainly be a fitting name for the show if they were to continue their upward trend of grand national placements Quote
itsstephenyo Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Bell ftw in 2007... or maybe Reagan if they go. Texas bands sweep 1 2 3 in finals, like they did in semi-finals a few years ago. Quote

t3hZm4n Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I've never seen either of Bell's last two shows, and since skramp's place is gone, I kinda don't have anywhere to look... Does anyone have links? Quote

Does anyone have links? Go to the LD Bell website page and under miscellaneous links, click on dfife. I'd get a link for you, but I'm lazy. Quote
Lustra.exe Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 it'll deffinantly be a good show taking into account that they had 150 first year marchers this year. next year they'll have that many juniors. Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 wow 150.. how many do they march total? guard and percussion counted. it would be cool to watch all three shows back to back and see if any motifs occur Quote

I would have had as much luck guessing last night's outcome a year ago than if I had guessed two days ago. I think we've seen this year (At nats as well as other contests) that just about anything can happen. Bell has been one of the most consistent bands of this decade, though. I hope they can continue that next year, too. Quote
indybandfan06 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Bell's show was awesome! Probably one of my favorite all-time. Loved the music, drill/design. Just incredible. They are one of those bands you can't wait to see the following year. And the new ending. Wow. Really cool! Quote

Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 yeah. that would be amazing - they dont march fish right? Quote

I think I read that somewhere on here...well it was either about Bell or another band. anyway, lucky sophomores then, huh? haha. I can't waaaait to see Bell's finals performance at GN. but of course, we must wait the million months til then...hah. Quote

ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 oh hey!!! they should bring back all the alumni at the end of next marching season, have them re-learn the old drill and music, and march all three shows, live and in color! they could switch out people like that year's DMs and senoirs and stuff. Quote

Let's e-mail the directors and tell them to do it. hahah. *gets out phonebook* Quote

I must see the last part of the trilogy, although i only got to see the remaining live...oh well, hopefully i can Quote
MartinHorn Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Though I'm not the biggest fan of their shows, I am interested to see what The Arrival will be like. Quote
bossman Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I think their production team is pure genious, becuz they obviously do things for a reason. And this just proves it Quote

ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 BTW, anyone have videos of the first two of the series? we can get a head start and look for motifs...lol jk , but seriously anyone? Quote
manuel_pablo Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I have their 2005 show that used to be on Skramps. I will have the San Antonio videos up on youtube and the full quality videos on my computer once the SA DVDs come in. I also have temporary* mp3s from SA and Grand Nats... * by temporary I mean that they were recorded off of the streaming videos and are therefore not great quality, but the SA ones will be replaced by recordings off of the DVDs once they come in. Here's their 2005 show on myspace: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...deoid=929045558 Quote
artishard Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 so far, this is just a rumor. seriously. SERIOUSLY. Quote
