bossman Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 The fastest i've ever had to march (in a real show) was about 205-210 Quote
Serardian Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 In a show, like 190. We've done 215 in basics block. Ouch. It's really hard to keep good technique when you're marching so fast. That's why I respect SFA so much. Quote
bossman Posted November 16, 2006 Author Posted November 16, 2006 our director cranks the metronome up until it cant go anymore. Quote

Xukaniz Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Basics block...heck at the speed of light.... In a show probably about 180. Quote
manuel_pablo Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 During fundamentals, they've put it up to 220 before. In 2004, we marched our 3rd movement at 204. In 2005, it was 196, and this year our opener was at 184. Quote
jbrih13 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I remember last year during the part 3 last year when we rushed we would be at like 215, thats what Hall said one day...during the show. During the fundmental block, we march God knows how many times across the field (from end zone to end zone..no like, in lines going every 8) at 200+...and the straight leg...OUCH !!! I hate it. Last year he decided to experiment with us going over 220...CRAZY man... Quote
Nancy08 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Wow. I've never had to march over like 180 in drill. But I know a couple of years before me they marched to the flight of the bumblebee...yikes... Quote

ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 we did our second movement at 110, double time last year...lol was intense - there were minimal holds. (like 2 four count holds) this year, our closer is only at 165, so that was a piece of cake. Quote
gavinrh Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 aloft last year went 210 in practice sometimes Quote
Aegis Fang Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I've gotten up to a whopping 168 =O Quote
Lustra.exe Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 200 - WDL probably faster this year though. Quote

Skippy Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Our 2005 show: Intro: 200 Opener: 176/186/192 (give or take a number) Ballad: 80something (marched double time) Closer 200/216 That show was way harder than drum corps. Quote

Shiloh Phoenix Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 idk. when we rush, way over 200. when we drag, like 80. bleh. Although going at like 220 during fundamentals is fuuuun... Quote
