aaron067 Posted November 30, 2006 Share Posted November 30, 2006 Simple Gifts is a traditional folk song originating I believe from the Quaker lifestyle, but Copland does utilize it in his ballet/concert suite Appalacian Spring. You may want to take a look at the variations he incorporates into the piece. If you're not interested in the classical variety, there are tons of pop/remix-type versions. Amazon.com is your friend!
