2004 BOA Huntsville Show - Raining pouring down, early morning show, buses breaking down, doing three performances in the same day.

All the times we travelled and woke up early to do a contest.

For this year, same as above, but waking up to do a practice at 6:30am in 50 - 60 degree weather.

lol I remember doing those trek-to-200 in 2005. I think it was the day of Band Olympics when we would go all the way up to 220.

hmm some highlights:

last year we suckd and for one competition we really pulled together and got first which was purdy special cuz our school hsant done gotten first and that competition for awhile.

this year hmm on the way to area we stopped at a school to practice and we had to use their packing lot cuz they were watering their field and ya anyway their football team was having a fundraiser too so we kinda played to the people who were picking up plates of bbq (that was the fundraser) and they all clapped and cheer. then at everywhere we went the crowd got into our show and afterwards we'd get a huge response standing ovation blah blah. then it also helped that the students not in band loved our show and thought we looked good

My Favorite part of this season was AREA as a whole! The parents in the stands holding up the "GO HEBRON BAND" sign and Arrows! And as we walked on the field for finals the roar of the crowd! Then the announcer saying, "u make take the field on compition!" As we performed that show many of us felt amazing! It really sunk in when we started doing DDR and the crowd was going nuts, that we might have to put that show to rest three days earlier then we really wanted. When we walked of the field many of us were in tears, and all we could hear was the Richland Band telling us how good we did! It was amazing, until we were brought back down to earth to wait for the results. When we were in those stands many of us were hand and hand, just hoping to hear our name called! And when it was I felt AMAZING! There was so much joy and happiness in the air, and we knew we had reached our goal! It seemed like we celbrate for like an hour in the stands... but it wasn't over yet! When we got back to the band hall the parents had decorated and we yelling DDR chants as we walked in the door! I will always remember that day and would never trade it for anything... That story will always be remembered and i will tell my children about it!

I Love the Hebron Band, and can't wait to see what the decide to do for next year!

well, BOA arlington prelims. I played my tuba solo and it was PERFECT, and that crowd reacted to the dance part of hummingbird perfectly. I've never heard a crowd react like that. Ever. even at DCI contests.

Of course that night our electronics didn't work, we crapped our pants, and left with a golf clap. Bleh.

mine definitely had to be either the prep-talk before finals at uil area where i was crying like a big baby or listening to the results for who made it to state, where i was also crying like an even bigger baby:D i was sitting there + at area two years ago, we came in one place away from state + it crushed me so i was sitting there waiting to hear we got alternate, maybe 6th + then MAYBE 5th...i kept crying with everything the lady announced + i saw these girls praying in front of me. i was like, "that is pointless. there is no way we made anything higher than 5th place"... then the announcer said, "in fourth place, qualifying for state is...[insert 7 second pause] William Howard Taft" omg, i jumped up screaming + crying!! it was the best time of my life, literally. i was so overwhelmed + it was like 10,000 memories of how much i pushed myself, others pushed, how hard things got, etc. its like all that ran through my head + it was just like "WHOA" lol...dorky?? heck yeaa but i still get all excited when i think about it + i have it on my cell phone when they announced us:D
