xbones7480 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Good Morning All Crossmen Volunteers, Well, it is 5 days away from the next big step in Crossmen history. On December 15th the Crossmen members from 2006 will be joining the ranks of those invited from the previous two audition camps. If you joined us in volunteering over the Thanksgiving weekend, we would like to thank you. We look forward to seeing as many of you once again as possible. If you missed the chance and are still looking to volunteer a few hours we are always looking for help. For others please keep us in mind as we move towards spring training and the summer tour. The November camp went basically without a hitch. The volunteers familiar with the in and outs of the Crossmen married with the great volunteers from San Antonio to help make the November camp one of the most successful events in the history of the drum corps. Although generally the number reduces for this camp we are still looking at processing and feeding approximately 300 plus students as the evaluation process continues in filling 135 positions in the drum corps. It is important that the students be able to focus on the responsibilities asked of them by the various staff evaluators. Our job as volunteers is to ensure that the students register in a timely manner once again. Also they can rest assured that there will be plenty of food during the meals with which they have become familiar. Every aspect of running the last camp will need to be attended to as well for this camp. So here we go again we will need help in the following area: Registration - 6 PM Friday ( Arrive 5 PM for training ) Souvie Sales- Same as Registration, plus throughout weekend Food truck- 7:30 PM for Friday night snack, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner/Snack Saturday and Breakfast/Lunch- Sunday Airport/bus station runs- As needed Please drop Fred at javascript:parent.ComposeTo ('vprace@msn.com', ''); or myself at javascript:parent.ComposeTo ('xmenvolunteers@aol.com', ''); an email with your availably or with any question you may have as well. Thank you in advance for another great weekend, Rick Reedy Crossmen Volunteer Coordinator javascript:parent.ComposeTo('xmenvolunteers@aol.com', ''); Quote
