I might just do that one for school and I'll probably do Tornado for solo & ensemble... I'm pretty excited about it. Yes, Monograph IV is long AND hard... I played it my senior year at the behest of my lessons teacher and I swear it almost killed me. But it was such a good feeling when I got something right, so it was worth most of the stress in the end. So, good luck with that! Quote

titancoaster Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Im doing a fairly hard trumpet solo, Nightsongs for Flugelgorn and/or Trumpet. I get to play on both the trumpet and flugel so its kinda cool hearing the two voices in the piece, but its got a lot of weird intervals. Oh well atleast I dont have to memorize, hehe, I love knowing the fact that there are songs you dont have to memorize! Quote
Claritone Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I'm playing a class I euph solo, already have most of it memorized Quote
EuphToth Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Freshman year my ensemble recieved our music veeery late so we only had 3 practices for the whole piece (It was a class I). We made a three, but we still ended up beating some of the upperclassmen in top band who were given theirs much earlier. Quote
t3hZm4n Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 I'm not doing anything this year, since Mr. Gayman and I never got around to picking out anything for me. Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 von Weber Concerto in f minor Op.73, Rondo our ensemble is umm.... idk, already paid the $6 though...haha Quote
zhengyi Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I am learning a kicken four mallet solo "Wind In The Bamboo Grove" by Keiko Abe and for ensembles I am playing "Vociferation", "Claire De Lune", and "Poet and Peasent Overture" Quote
chickora Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 my solo is boring..but man oh man.. Our Ensemble is god. Suite- For Four Equal Clarinets. Its soo awesome sounding. The third movement sounds like some sort of crime scene investigating song, so we declared that all four of us should go in suites with sun glasses. God, I'm so excited about this peice. Quote
lhsax09 Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 lets see.... for my solo, im playing recitative and rondino....then im in a sax. quartet, um....i think it was variations on a theme by sweel...somethin.... Quote
