no Offense but i've never heard of Rowlett high school. Is it fairly new? Up and coming? Or is it out in the Boondocks somewhere/

Rowlett High School is a secondary school in Rowlett, Texas, United States.

Rowlett, which covers grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Garland Independent School District. The first classes were held in 1996. Dr. Marlene Hammerle has been the principal ever since the school's founding.

Students residing in the Dallas County portion of Rowlett, the Dallas County portions of Wylie and Sachse, and the Garland ISD portion of Garland are eligible to attend Rowlett High School. Rowlett High School is closest to the GISD portion of Rowlett and is thought of as the neighborhood school of that portion of Rowlett.

Rowlett High School's mascot is the Eagle and the colors are maroon, white and navy. Approximately 2,700 students attend the school. Activities include choir, band, drill team, technical theatre, football, basketball and baseball as well as other activities. Athletic competition is at the UIL district AAAAA (5A) level in district 10-5A which includes other Garland ISD schools and Rockwall High School. In 2005 the varsity football team made the playoffs for the first time in school history and advanced to the area round of the playoffs with a 9-3 final record .

Garland ISD has a free choice system, which allows a child in the district to attend any school he or she wishes to attend.

Many kids attending Back, Dorsey, Giddens-Steadham, Herfurth, Keeley, Pearson, and Rowlett Elementary Schools later go to Rowlett High School.

Many pupils going to Coyle or Schrade Middle Schools later go to Rowlett High School.

No research required.

Plus knowledge of their bands of course.

this last year was our 3rd time to go to state the first was in 2002 with "madusa"(10th at state) the second was in 2004 with "music du soliel"(20th) and the third was in 2006 with "of bells and angels" (tied for 13th but got 14th)

im band beau by the way...

as for football we were one of the many 4-6 teams to make playoffs, we got knocked out of the first round by allen. next year im predicting that we have a good run in the playoffs possibly a chance for state.
