wow I can't believe people had to have a tie breaker for Spring 93'. In my opinion, that show rules all, but still I give huge credit to Reagan for a tie breaker. Cool I'm ready for the Semis and we barely started the quarters.

i have a question if you take a show from 10 years ago and place it in todays competition would it get the same score?

I don't even think you would get the same score if you took a show from yesterday and put it in a competition today.

i meant like ok a band ten years ago scored a 94.35 if they had the same exact performance and same exact show i mean like everything the exact same will it still score around 94 like 92-96

well...apparently the band would score higher if you take what Broken Arrow did with old reagan shows

Hah, good one.

You can't compare scores from year to year. Different level of competition, different judging panels and etc etc. So many factors come into play. Not only has the marching band activity changed so much over the past decade but scoring in BOA has changed a lot over the years. Judges are not as generous with their numbers. I highly doubt Lassiter 1998 would even score a 97.55 today. That show was nowhere close to clean.

Check out Ronald Reagan 2004 & 2005 and Broken Arrow 2006. Lots of similiarities....both groups use Aaron Guidry as their music arranger. The climax of Broken Arrow's ballad was also the trumpet solo from Reagan's 2005 opener and BA's closer "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" was also Reagan's 2004 opener.

They also have the opening hit of "The journey within" somewhere in the ballad I believe. I believe thats from 01
