In my opinion, that show rules all, but still I give huge credit to Reagan for a tie breaker. Cool I'm ready for the Semis and we barely started the quarters. Quote

mbui Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 You can't compare scores from year to year. Different level of competition, different judging panels and etc etc. So many factors come into play. Not only has the marching band activity changed so much over the past decade but scoring in BOA has changed a lot over the years. Judges are not as generous with their numbers. I highly doubt Lassiter 1998 would even score a 97.55 today. That show was nowhere close to clean. Quote

Check out Ronald Reagan 2004 & 2005 and Broken Arrow 2006. Lots of similiarities....both groups use Aaron Guidry as their music arranger. The climax of Broken Arrow's ballad was also the trumpet solo from Reagan's 2005 opener and BA's closer "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" was also Reagan's 2004 opener. Quote
