i think there's a reason drum corps decided to finally do away with the whole "woodwind" thing... You can't hear them unless there's a ten thousand dollar sound system attached to their horns.

it's actually harder than it looks...

 

u use more than one hand for one thing and woodwinds play at a faster rate than most brass instruments.

 

and u gotta taste that wood all da time...omg...i remember in 6th grade when i first tasted a reed...and boy was it horrible.

don't under estimate what we do, cuz if u played my horn i think you wouldnt be able to hold out one whole note.

 

And alot of us do a bunch of technical/lyrical stuff, i just think the task becomes greater when it comes to brass instruments. B)

never once did i underestimate what it take to play a brass instrument...being that it's difficult to adjust your lips to produce a different sound for each note and other things...

 

im jus showing YOU reasons not to underestimate a woodwind.
