chickora Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I'd have to say woodwinds because I am a woodwind, but tend to like to listen to brass sounds. especially the french horn, when played well, its beautiful. Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 hey, there's a reason that woodwinds are on the top of the poll choices. Quote
gavinrh Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 i think there's a reason drum corps decided to finally do away with the whole "woodwind" thing... You can't hear them unless there's a ten thousand dollar sound system attached to their horns. Quote

bossman Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 i'll listen to a nice horn solo or euphonium solo any day. Besides the woodwinds DO "just push buttons" to create a note, kinda lazy if u ask me. lol Quote

barisaxy08 Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 it's actually harder than it looks... u use more than one hand for one thing and woodwinds play at a faster rate than most brass instruments. and u gotta taste that wood all da time...omg...i remember in 6th grade when i first tasted a reed...and boy was it horrible. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 whoa, cheatin with a drummer, nice. i must say i cannot pull that off. the cute dummer graduated and went to austin. Quote

And alot of us do a bunch of technical/lyrical stuff, i just think the task becomes greater when it comes to brass instruments. Quote
