The show concept is very simple and easy to understand. I told my friend "this show was called machine, and they do a lot of robot and machine-like stuff", and she totally got it. As opposed to say... "cathedrals of the mind" or something. Quote

Aegis Fang Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 I don't honestly think it matters who won, or should have won, in 1989, I just know that phantom's going to win by at least two points this year and the cavaliers are going to get at least third or lower =) And VK, although division 2, is going to get the second highest score from any division and win Divi 2 =p Quote

Fortisimo Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Me too, but the Cadets are gonna give them a run for their money, that's for sure. Quote
Aegis Fang Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I think we should start a petition to get VK to come to San Antonio, I want to see them that bad, lol. 2CoolVK =p *if that's backwards or something, my bad* Quote

trumpetman1288 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Didn't Phantom get a new director this year? Either way, I have this feeling it is going to come down to either PR or the Cadets for the win this year. Sorry Cavies Quote
bluebellbrass07 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Oh and nobody has won by 2 points since 1976, so I don't see that happening. Phantoms new director is Rick Valenzuela, former director of SCV. Quote

bluebellbrass07 Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I'd love that as well, but theres no way anyone is going to win by 2 points. I honestly don't see why everyone is putting the Cavaliers so low in their predictions. They have been in the top 3 for the past 8 years. If they keep doing what they are doing, which obviously works, that shouldn't change. Quote

I think the Cavaliers execution will keep them in the top three maybe. Quote
TX Suh-nare Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 It sounds kinda stupid, but it also seems some people can't shake off the Europe bug, even though the trip is cancelled. I'm not a superstitious guy, but Europe does things to corps, like the Blue Devils or Glassmen (like makes them make crappy shows). It just seems like the Cavies are doing a Europe-tailored show for an all-American audience. Looking at the prior experience, that never turns out that well. Quote

I don't think Europe really has anything to do with it, I think just somewhere along the line, the ball got dropped in planning for it, or something. I don't know about the Cavies show concept yet, because I haven't heard any music, but I think that is the thing that is causing a lot of doubt in them right now. Quote
