Nancy08 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I'm definately doing music in college, but sadly, I'm only a jr. No auditions for me yet... Quote

No auditions for me yet... Advice: Get your audition stuff together NOW! I made the mistake of waiting till January to schedule all my auditions and man do I regret it Quote
Nancy08 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Thanks for the advice. Right now I'm just trying to narrow down coleges I want to go to. I'd like to stay in TX or go north but stay in the middle of the continent. OK, MO, KS, etc. The prob is I want to double major in enginering or architecture, so I have to find a school relatively good at both. At least till I'm looking for a graduate school. Quote
titancoaster Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 ^U.T. has a good engineering program, and a good music program Quote

I love their sports, but besides ACC, UT is a last resort... Quote
bluebellbrass07 Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 UTA also has a great engineering program from what I've heard. Quote
Nancy08 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Yeah that's true. UT is almost too convienent. I live less than an hour away, it has two really strong programs that I want to study...The thing is I can get into another school, even some out of state, for less. Money is a big player in choosing a college for me. The less debt, the better. Quote
fourmalleteer Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 It's either TCU or UT Austin for me. Haven't decided. Quote
LdTrumpetWailer Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 UTA actually has a engineering contract with NASA so their engineering program is the best in the nation and their music program is very good for a smaller base if you don't want to be overwhelmed. Congrats on that Zach I'm pretty sure you can get into any music program you want for a few exceptions and I bet you could geussthose. Well I hope I didn't mess up any scholarship money b/c of my sight reading. I just didn't do too good on that part. meh... acedemic scholarships can work too. Quote

LdTrumpetWailer Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Yeah I guess your right and I didn't stop at all. SO I did the best I could and that's all that matters. On the bad side of the fence I didn't keep tempo real well. Quote
MartinHorn Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 UTA has one of the top accounting programs in the state I think. Top 2%. Quote
