fishouttawater08 Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Wow I cant believe bassoon's are actually in third place! Such a uncommon instrument (though still amazing ) wouldn't have such following unless it was the best! Quote
barisaxy08 Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 i've always liked the big cigarette for some odd reason Quote
Nancy08 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Heck yes bassoons are the best! Although...perhaps I'm slightly biased ... Quote
crazyjakeup Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 me and some friends blew up a bassoon this weekend... dont worry it was old and gross... we got it at a pawn shop for $45... Quote
bass~beetch Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 i gotta go w/ th BC!! u cant beat the clarinet family!! everything from Bb to octocontrabass!! yes there is such a thing.. only one in the world though owned by leblanc himself. 3 octaves lower than the bass clarinet!! sweet action right thurr!! lol Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 clarinets beat the saxes and flutes....and oboes and bassoons and all the brass and percussion. Quote
MaverickBand15 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I would have to say the...MARIMBA....jk...thats not a woodwind. Actually my favorite woodwind instrument would definitely have to be the flute. Quote
Inbl Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Clarinets are the best ever. They have the good qualities of Flute and Saxophone. Quote
Michael Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 And we actually have wood as part of our instrument....lol j/k Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Michael said: And we actually have wood as part of our instrument....lol j/k that's a valid point. flutes and saxes should be classified as "metalwinds" Quote
C1Sherman2010 Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 do i have to explain! Bb Clarinet is the most dynamic, most used instrument in the instrument field besides trumpet (whom are cocky....but we all know that). plus, I play Bb Clarinet, so it is of course my favorite! Quote
Gracelyd33 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Flutes! Of course, not many flutes have a Txbands account... Sadly): But still.. Flutes are the bestest in the whole world. Why? Because I play it of course(: Jkjk Quote
Daylen007 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 So I'm pretty sure tenor sax beats everything. It beats all woodwinds other than saxes because, well it's a sax. Not only that but it the sax is probably the most versatile in playing styles from jazz to classical. I think tenor is the best sax because it seems to have an overall cooler and less bright sound as the alto. And it looks cooler Bari is cool. But tenor overall. Quote
clarinethero Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 clarinet all the way!!! we dominate the woodwind section!!! Quote
