This is something I just came up with on a boring day off from work.

Want to know how many students from each of the 10 UIL State Marching Finalists made TMEA All-State? This is based off of the TMEA.org site so if something is wrong, please don't hesitate to correct me.

Wow, its obvious that how well we do during region band doesn't show how good we do during marching band.

Vista Ridge (4A) - 3 (an oboe, tenor trombone, and bass trombone, all of whom made first chair, tying us with McKinney North for the most first chairs in the 4A band)

Marcus ended up with only 11, by the way. I originally counted twelve after their English horn player was selected, but the new number comes directly from Ms. Drinkwater.

tuba, the fourth chair trumpet at our school last year (haha), french horn, and i think we had someone else... i think...

Would have been five, but the trumpet player made first chair all state jazz.

The area realignment really hurt us. We were typically getting 10+ per year, but then we were put in an area with Coppell and Duncanville, which hurt all of us. Oh well
