It would be great if your mate was in band.

I cant imagine having a girlfriend outside of band, that would be hard.

Now, outside applies when you have a mate who belongs in another school and band.

That's all I do.

I can't stand to date people at my school because I see them all the time.

I need difference..

and they have to be in band.... :)

Yeah i agree. Some times its ok, some times its like i dont want to see them all the time, it takes away the special part of the relationship (if im making any sense). I like footbally players to :D

Doesn't matter to me, but band is a plus. (I don't know why.)

i could tell u why...

there are positives and negatives to dating in band...

Positives:

* They can go on trips with you

* They are at every football game

* They can be around afterschool

* You know most of their friends

* Never have to worry about being far away from each other

* Just usually never too far

Negatives:

* Everybody knows your business

* Nothing can be kept a secret

* You could see them a lil bit too much

* You usually can't escape them if you're mad

* Everybody wants to help in the relationship

* They could embarass you in front of everybody

* If yall brake up...then it becomes a big deal in band world

it jus all depends on how the relationship is...

all that secret stuff is puzzling to me, becuz if u dont let ur business out u dont have to worry about other ppl.

even if u keep to yourself...somehow people find stuff to say based off of what they see...or will just make up stuff just to be messy...

Dont you DARE be like the guy from Greenville HS.

DONT YOU DARE KILL YOURSELF IN THE PRACTICE ROOM.

  Quote
A 16-year-old student fatally shot himself at Greenville High School before the start of classes Wednesday.

The shooting took place in an instrument storage room off the band hall about 7:15 a.m., according to officials in the district 50 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.

MIKE STONE / Special to DMN

Some parents picked up their students from Greenville High School after Wednesday's shooting. Superintendent Lloyd Graham said other students were in the band hall but not in the instrument room. None saw the shooting, but they heard a noise, found the student on the floor and thought he had fallen and hit his head, Mr. Graham said. An assistant principal and nurse who were summoned found the wound.

The student, whose name and grade weren't released, was taken to Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville, where he died before 8 a.m. Officials didn't say where he had gotten the handgun.

"Our prayers are with the child's family, both immediate and extended, here at school and throughout the community," Mr. Graham said.

About 100 parents rushed to the school as word of the shooting spread, resulting in an auto accident in front of the school that sent one person to a hospital with minor injuries, the Greenville Herald Banner reported.

District officials gave parents the option of letting their children go home, and the school closed early, at 1:30 p.m., because so many students had left, district spokesman Brad Press said.

Mr. Graham said counselors from Greenville and neighboring districts, as well as local ministers, were made available to students who needed them, and a school telephone line was to be staffed until 10 p.m. for counseling.

"We need our children to know they are in a safe and secure environment," Mr. Graham said.

Greenville High has about 1,200 ninth- through 12th-graders.

That's sad...

but anyways, I'd rather date a girl that's in band. I don't really care though. My last two girlfriends were in band, but the one I like right now isn't. Well she's in the jazz band, but it's cause she plays piano.

That's so sad about the kid killing himself. I heard about that yesterday..and why the band hall in front of all the kids? but apparently..no one witnessed the shooting.

Ugh....Suicide..

I've never dated, but when I do he'll be in the band. If the guy didn't have the same passion for music that I do, I'm not sure we'd get along to well. He'd get fed up with me real quick. ;)
