The wait is finally over!

Tickets for the DCI Southwestern Championships in San Antonio, Texas will go on sale this Thursday, March 29th at 10:00 AM through Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster locations. According to Ticketmaster, the price range will be from $26 - $51. I promise you that I will be one of the first to buy my seats right on the 50!!!!

Here are some quick notes concerning the event:

Two shows. 12 and 7 PM. The top four from the Afternoon Show will go on to perform with the top eight corps at the Evening Show. Schedules will be determined as the season goes on.

You are probably wondering how the heck you let this information just creep up on you. Ticketmaster put the clamps down on DCI for handling tickets for venues that Ticketmaster has contracts with (The Alamodome, The RCA Dome, The Georgia Dome). If you go to the DCI website, you'll notice that there is no information on its front page about these upcoming events. However, if you go to the individual web pages on DCI.org for the Indianapolis, Atlanta, Louisville, and San Antonio shows, you'll see that the information is already up. Seems like a bit of a hassle but hey, I'll jump through the hoops if it yields a fantastic show.

The Southwestern Championships have opened up more than 20 new seating sections for the event. If you'd like your band to attend the event, contact DCI for more information.

Ticketmaster offers a service called Ticketfast. Ticketfast allows you to have your tickets sent to you in a PDF document via email. It is the fastest and cheapest way to get ahold of your tickets. You may consider using this feature if you are afraid of losing your tickets or want to avoid additional shipping fees that come with having your tickets sent through the mail.

I hope this helps you all out! Anyone coming to this event??

how much was the total???

$180.40 to be exact. That includes all sorts of random fees and I'm quite certain that I was charged extra for being Hispanic.

Should've let me bought the tickets. After hitting gold with the tickets in 2005, I'm pretty sure I would've gotten them for free....

Lol, I think those minority charges mainly apply on things like traffic tickets.
