bluebellbrass07 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 http://www.bluecoats.com/about_show.asp Wow I can not wait Quote
MartinHorn Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Some interesting musical selections. I can't wait to hear Smooth Criminal Drum Corps style. Quote
mbui Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Steven Bryant's "Hummingbrrd" is such an awesome piece. Richland HS did it this past year. It was the "beat box" portion of their show. Quote
HashBrownJM Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Yeah, except the Bluecoats version of Hummingbrrd isn't quite Richland HS style... Quote
Warfact Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Hey Josh, are you playing contra in the bluecoats this year? if so, you probably don't remember me, but I played baritone and was at the camps through January until they let me go lol. Quote
bluebellbrass07 Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 QUOTE (Warfact @ May 24 2007, 07:40 AM) Hey Josh, are you playing contra in the bluecoats this year? if so, you probably don't remember me, but I played baritone and was at the camps through January until they let me go lol. Yes he is. The only reason I'm answering for him is because I think he already left for tour maybe? Quote
bonepit06-07 Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 yep hes gone good luck Josh see u in SA July 21st Quote
Shiloh Phoenix Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Are you implying that Richland didn't perform hummingbrrd as good as the bluecoats could Hash Brown? well you'd be right! I know I tried my absolute hardest with my solo but I never heard us play the whole thing together once. I hope the Bluecoats will have a tuba solo as well, anybody seen their show yet? I know Alberto Ocasio the contra if any of you guys have met him. He's a great player Quote
NSUMusician Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Saw the show last night via the webcast. Those tubas were kickin' hot! And yes, I've trademarked "kickin' hot!" You may use it whenever you want. It'll take off like wildfire in California! Quote
EODrillDesigner98 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Blue Coats, are the bomb. I knew someone who age-out of Blue Coats last seaon. Quote
hebrontuba08 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 I just want to say thanks for recognizing the bluecoats' hard work that is being to into Criminal and that being apart of it has been great. and yeah josh and alberto are both great players and awesome guys to march with. Quote
borchnork Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 The Coats have my favorite show this season. I was stunned. Quote
Trumpet Master Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Great use of vocals, and silent portions. Overall one of my favorites this year. Quote
borchnork Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 The best part for me *non musical* was with the drumline and the red strings/lasers and the guard crawling through. Quote
the terminator Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 bluecoats are great. still I like Blue Devils better Quote
borchnork Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I can't comment on the Devils, simply because I haven't seen them yet. But If you prefer them over the Coats, the must have something huge. Quote
Shiloh Phoenix Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Love the tuba groove part. no not the "freeze!" section. the one after that. It's cool. Quote
borchnork Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I loved the silence part where the recording said "You have the right to remain silent" and the corp just came in loud and proud immediatly after. It made me jump in my seat. Quote
