Moose Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I decided to start a thread about director changes for 2007, because there seems to be alot already. Seguin's Head band director (since 2001) Steve Mc Keithen put in his resignation last week. Quote
barisaxy08 Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Westfield is losing a director because Spring ISD is opening a new school where he will be head band director...but we will be employing another director soon. Quote
sax5warrior Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 The new Mansfield Legacy High School (4A Projected) will have Mr. Greg Fugett from Austin Westlake HS Quote

crazyjakeup Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 thats only if it got split evenly... idk if they have 9th graders... if not then imagine if they did... Quote
bossman Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 once again ill say that allen's population is SICK. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Lowery Freshman Center 1,153 Allen High School 3,693 there are bigger schools...but they dont have fish Quote

Even if they split up, both Allen HS' would be 5A and with the size of 250 or more. It wont hurt them, it will help. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 after i looked at the numbers and they are prolly not making another high school Quote
trumpetman1288 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 They will have to soon though...4000 students is a lot by any one's standards. Or they could just do what La Joya does down here...build one campus with 2 high schools, one for 9th-10th and another for 11th-12th. It was kind of weird going over there for some event last year (I think it was all-region) and discovering that I was at the wrong high school and that I had to go to another part of campus... Quote
bossman Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Hold on i thought that allen was like a 6000 person school. Quote
crazyjakeup Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 i got those ##S from thier website... and they only have 10th 11th and 12th graders Quote
bossman Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 well, i take back what i said about the population there. Westfield is like 5000. how come their band is so huge if the school is only 3000? Quote
barisaxy08 Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 well... At westfield...our band is considered to be "whack"...and nobody cares for us as much. Plus...half the kids in the school wouldn't be smart enough to play an instrument or even have the patience to want to learn how and blah blah blah. they take band jus as seriously as football up there since that's all they really have.
