So our only returning director is about to start his second year, and he's not even here this summer because he's touring with the bluecoats... so our brand new head director who just moved in this week is doing everything. it's almost as bad as the SGP situation... almost... especially since this guy has no idea what he's doing as far as the band goes... music wise i think he'll be good. At least 85% of the situation got better just today. Our only returning director is starting his 2nd year with us also. We learned that John Gurke will be our Percussion Director and 2nd Asst, I heard he is (or was) with the Madison Scouts, but I have no truth to this. and now, by next week, we are expected to hire a 3rd Asst from the colorguard division. Its amazing how things snap in a hurry. This has been a tiring week. Quote

He was the lead trumpet soloist in the Bluecoats' show back in 2002. He had the second solo in the opener and then the entire solo in the closer. He's a good guy. Probably doesn't remember me though.
