Well Gee Mr. Connor, I apologize for my accidental mistake.

You know you don't have to be as rude as you did for pointing that out.

Don't take it in a bad way...besides that what you do all the time.

I go to Marshall in San Antonio, and we have Three new directors after Mr. Rey Meza retired after 27 years there.

Our new head director is Mr. Brian Hildreth. He was an assistant at Winston Churchill for 8 years. And he also marched and was on staff of the Phantom Regiment.

One of our new Assistants is Mr. Kent Summerour. He has worked with Cypress Falls, Pearland, and Ronald Reagan.

And the last one is Mr. Kevin Tabb, the percussion specialist. He's had some success teaching band in Mississippi.

With all their pedigrees, im very optimistic the Marshall band will begin to become a great band like we were in the late 80's and early 90's.

Oh wow... way to be mature Connor. Anyways...

Between 06-07 and 07-08, we (Sherman) replaced our head director for Ryan Jenkins, who previously taught at Tom Bean. Our band director before "Master J" moved with our third band director who was replaced by a Mr. Richie, who I hope is not in any other band right now. When our elder director left, he took our show with him, so our choreographer threw together a new one, which is why our show STANK last year. Now, thank goodness, Richie is gone (fired), but unfortunately, our second band/jazz band director is gone. We also fired our flag coach, and Richie was our percussionist, so basically, we hired four people this year, making a completely new roster.

Kind of off topic...But you don't go to Summit anymore?

I really wasn't trying to be rude.. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

But yeah I was one of those Summit kids who went to Legacy.. I'm expecting great things in the near future coming from a school on the quck rise..

We're changing percussion directors because our current one is going back to school. Also, we're hiring a third director. We have know idea who this third director is.

our head director will be leaving and our assistant director will be taking over, then we are getting 2 new assistant directors and a new percussion instructor. it's def. going to be very different next year..

I hope no one falls victim to what happened to my band the previous year.

I hear McKinney HS and Allen HS have head BD openings and one of them may be filled in later this week.

I get to hear it first hand. :) Dont ask why.

Frisco High School for the third year in a row will have a whole new crew of directors, since the ones now will leave. After over 30 years w/ one guy (Dr. Trent), they will have their 3rd different group of directors.

How is breaking in an entirely new-to-the-program group of band directors in a state year our (Arabella's and my) senior year going to be positive? I know that sounds really pessimistic...but really, find me some good in that.

Churchill has a new director: Brent Johnson, former Director of Bands at Daviess H.S. in Kentucky. He should be a nice asset to the program.

Steven, I've thought this over very well. I think the good in this is that when we lead the band as students, the new directors will extremely appreciate it and be so thankful that we will get lots and lots of glorious letters of recommendation for college!

I'm in the terms of the long run. Yeah it would SUCK to have that happen your senior year when you want it to be your best year. I was meaning that to be that if you sit there and tell yourself the year is going to suck then it will. But eventually you can get past that and make the best of what could have been a really sucky year.
