This is for all the folks in the tenor/bass trombone room at 4A Region 18 Phase 2 at Vista Ridge HS today...

 

You know you're a band nerd when the whole room gets bored after waiting 45 minutes for the judges to get there and you all decide to bust out "Land of 1000 Dances" to pass the time.

 

If there is anyone on here that was in that room, that was the best and funniest region moment I've ever been a part of!! I just hope we weren't too loud for the trumpets!!

...when you hate it when you're listening to the radio and you turn on the turn signal and the tempos don't match (this surprisingly happens quite often)

...when you could google band nerd and a picture of you came up

-you have been at a party with more than one director.

-you can get dressed in front of people of the opposite sex and think nothing of it.

-"finger your parts" doesn't sound dirty to you.

-you take up your director's offer to play duets with him.

-you look forward to the first football game just so you can march at halftime.

-you have ever used "toe sex" as a stretch.

-you know what "toe sex" is.

-you have one sexy sock tan.

-you steal a part of your uniform after graduating and keep it as a "keep sake"

-you keep the plumes of your old uniform as a memento.

-you actually use all of the time in your applied music class (or ensemble practice, whatever it is called at your respective school) to practice.

-you can outdo your director in sightreading even though he played pro at one point in his life.
