barisaxy08 Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 that's a good thing to do...BUT u shouldn't use things just so that someone can notice you and see what you are capable of...because when u try out the directors will be paying attention to you enough... u should help out with event and other things jus because you care about band altogether... I don't think there's one band event my whole band lifespan that i haven't helped out with...unless i wasn't needed. I jus care about making sure everything is done right and that our school name will be upheld correctly and blah blah. Quote

I love doing the stage crew & getting to see how other bands (even if they are middle schools) do band. I am just hoping that my work in the contest helps show I want to be drum major.
