We have uil/area/state

then two really out there ones.

Carollton Tournament of Champs.

and the Little Elm Marching Classic...

we should have gone to Birdville instead.

Yeah, I agree that does kind of suck. I believe Carrollton and Birdville are on the same day, so switch those, and you can switch Plano East for Little Elm. (We are going there too :o ), and maybe add the Hurst Euless Bedford one in the end of September

hmm, we're finally competing against Wakeland and Liberty then. Fun. haha.

Carollton isn't THAT bad of a competition. In fact, Rowlett, Hebron and PESH were there last year, so hopefully some simillar names show up.

A few might go to Birdville that day, but yeah it's not a bad contest. The reason why there were so many top bands there last year was because it was one of the only early season marching contests.

i we have bad luck a carrollton... my 11th grade year we were in 2nd place in pre-lims, then droped down to 5th in finals... this last year we got 4th or 3rd...

We're going to Little Elm MoC?! not to sound conceded but... DOUBLEYOU-TEE- EFF?!?!

Man... atleast my friends and I got our butts to go see 5A area. Can't remember, which, but it was a big one. LD, Allen, Summit, Richland (or something like that), Haltom, and many other pretty-darn-good bands were there.

OH! Birdville Prelims... My favorite performance.

We were playing October, our ballade, and it had rained earlier, so it was really cloudy throughout the opener (tempered steel). But as we played October, the sun started coming out, and as we hit the climax of October, it was shinning full and bright, and as the song ended, the sun faded away...

aw, god, my favorite. it gave me chills.

Fossil Ridge's '06 show reminds me a lot like Westfield '04.....same composer I know, but it's like they chose the exact same pieces :/.....I liked it though....and the crowd seemed to as well. Uematsu is a genius.

And Tempered Steel and October? That's a good combination.....I love Tempered Steel, it's like the perfect opener....Georgetown did it as our opener for 2000 when we went to the 5A State marching contest......and October is like the perfect ballad--2 of my favorite pieces ever in the same show, how cool :).
