4A UIL state

This sucks. Out of the 19 bands that got a 1 last year, two of them have already gotten a 2. At this rate, there's no chance that Area B will have four bands go to State.

yah, our assistant director told us today that it will probably only be three.

 

I think Lake Dallas can pull off a one... not so sure about little elm cus I haven't seen them...

If Lake Dallas, Little Elm, and Carter Riverside can get a 1, then we still have a shot at four. Though, I thought Carter Riverside was good but I don't know if they were a division 1 good. If only I could remember the scores from pre-UIL.

whatever it was, I think it should now be illegal forever and ever.

 

Maybe they just did what England did with Africa after they took it over... just kinda drew random lines and ended up placing rival tribes in the same country making it impossible for people to live in peace.

Area B is starting to look like the State Finals excluding Poteet and Friendswood. Why did they put so many talented bands in one Area?! I bet all the other areas are relieved of the pressure that us Area B bands are under.

Honestly, I'm putting alot of hope into those bands that have trouble getting to the division 1 rating. Every band can have a good show or a bad show, and I bet some of those bands that get the ol' 2 are ready for a 1 as well, and maybe they just need a little more cheering. Why not? Let's all cheer for those bands that usually get the scoffs when "HIGH SCHOOL: 2" is called out and give em' all a little more of a cheering squad. We all want them to do well and so do they, so let's give a hand to everyone and hope for the best. Maybe a miracle will happen and we can have 25 go to Area. Not bloody likely, but possibly (just not a safe bet).

If 25 bands made it, I would have a heart attack.

 

But yeah, to the guy who said that Area B is basically State without a few bands, you're completely right. I'm willing to bet that any band that advances from Area B will rank high in State finals.

If we have 25, I'll probably cry of stress relief for about an hour.

 

and if only 19 make it... I'll probably cry of STRESS for about 5 hours!

 

so it'll be an emotional weekend.

I second that notion... maybe less crying and more punching holes in the wall though. Heck, my brother's done it, one of my close friends did it... I think i'm about due for a hole in the wall. Woah... Why are the people I live around so violent?

although, I think that if Sherman, Aledo and The Colony just kinda disappear from the map randomly, this forum would give them enough evidence to come hunt us down. =]

 

I'm nervous for Saturday. It's the biggest day of my life so far.

When we're marching on to the field at Area, I'm going to be insanely nervous. Even worse than that, is when they announce prelims awards. The part that I may not survive is the Finals awards. My heart is going to stop when the start announcing bands and won't start beating again until we either make it or don't.

I may hafta just sit in the bus and wait. I honestly don't think I'll be able to take it, especially if we don't make it. I KNOW for a fact if we don't make it, I'll just completely lose it in the stands. Emotional bawling, probably pass out or throw up. It won't be good.

Gosh, What I would give to be in your band and basically have a spot to state reserved for me. It's not fun trying to fight for the bottom spot that's open. =[
