Just depends on what I'm assigned. Quote

Band Of Champions Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Well he doesn't go to Centennial because of him saying.. Quote Centennial people I know u guys haven't seen our show live yet so make sure u check it out So maybe Wakeland. Quote
the terminator Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 yeah im wakeland, we are working extremely hard to prepare for this contest Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Good, it's boring when no good bands show up to a competition. Quote
thePIXELelement Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Anyone have an up-to-date schedule for this contest? Quote
Band Of Champions Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 http://www.centennialband.com/cmf_pages/schedule.htm That's the most up-to-date schedule that I know of because it comes straight off their website. Quote
thePIXELelement Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 We are a division 3 band playing in the middle of a bunch of division 1 bands Quote
GenericWit Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I'm the stupid-face who signs up for two/three shifts that are apart bc of lack of people working them. I'm working from 8-1230 then 400-830... So... I'll probably go home and sleep in between since we have to do our exhibition and whatnot. Quote
eric Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 hah. everyone is all like...yay allen band is so big. i hope you know, that if plano had 4 year schools instead of 2 year split 9-10 and 11-12 schools...just plano east, 1/3rd of plano, would EAT allen band. and allen has no chance of winning, btw. :] Quote

If you combine you guys and Clark, for example, I don't think you'd still have as many people in the band. But size has nothign to do with winning. It's gonna be a pretty cool contest... especially with most of the area B state people competing (and us exhibitioning so all of them playing) and then to add on 5A powerhouses like east... Geeshhh. Saturday will be a good preview of 4A state (or at least area B's part of it...). I'm excited! Quote
GenericWit Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Eric's really egotistical. I spent the better part of the last half hour telling him that he can't take the 4A state hype away from us right now lol... even if east is good. Quote
SerialSleeper90 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Yea... its going to be SUPER busy for us... Sherman, TC, and Aledo. Quote
borchnork Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 yay for a reunion of the Area B bands!!! hahaha. It will be a good benchmark. And hopefully I'll be able to see Sherman's show on Saturday. I have yet to actually see it. Quote

We have a texas lean and some horn pops and then of course we do poses and things during our show.. I only wish that we had a head move, but he wouldn't let us.. The only hard part of the show for me is the diamond cutters though.. Its difficult to stay behind Trevor the whole time. In fact if you would like I have a video I can load.. that would work out nicely. =] Quote
Ern3sto09 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Lydia, don't use people's real names on here without their permission. And what she means is that most people are impressed by our show. The ballad, Lux Aurumque, is composed by Eric Whitacre, who is the next great composer of our time. It sounds very beautiful. And the drill is very demanding. Which is why we run half a mile every practice, to be in shape for the show. Quote

That's the song on my myspace. =] Quote
Ern3sto09 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 borchnork, whats the music for Centennial's show this year? I sadly didn't get to see yall preform yesterday, because I was waiting in line to by some Chic-Fillet Quote
borchnork Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Our show is called "BELLS!" It's just one song, broken up into 4 mvmts. It hits the musical highlights of Michael Daugherty's "Bells for Stokowski." and thank for the compliment. That was our first contest to perform mvmt. 4 at, so I think all of us were nervous about going over the time limit, because (performed at minimum tempos) our show is like 7 minutes and 30 seconds, and we always slow down or something weird happens. Quote
Ern3sto09 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Well, I can't wait to see it on Saturday. I am also looking forward to seeing Aledo and The Colony as well. How amazing would it be if all 4 of our bands made finals at State? That would show how insane Area B is. Quote
